What are you reading this weekend?
  • Just finished "Can't Spell Treason without Tea" and am craving more like it!

This is my favorite new sub-genre and was pleased to see a community for it. 😁

    Hi everyone!
  • Hello! Hopefully this community can grow 🎺

  • Just got a pocket trumpet functioning - what mouthpiece to use?
  • This was a random gift and did not come with mouthpiece.

The one in the picture is a Fluegel mouthpiece, which isn't a good fit.

Would a piccolo mouthpiece be suitable?

This is not for you (cit.)
  • I checked it out from the library, only got a couple chapters in before it was due back, and could not renew right away because of the popularity!

Should I just buy this sucker and read at a leisurely pace?

  • Cinnamon is my baby and I love her
  • My Cinnamon approves of your Cinnamon's name!

    Pride Month Reads
  • Choosing a theme by month is a really great idea, that would probably help me with planning out my giant TBR list.

For Pride month, I started Can't Spell Treason without Tea by Rebecca Thorne. The blurb that caught me was: "...a cozy tale of mishaps, mysteries, and a murderous queen throwing the realm’s biggest temper tantrum. In a story brimming with hurt/comfort and quiet fireside conversations, these two women will discover just what they mean to each other… and the world."

Also I'm going to read Loveless by Alice Oseman to get more exposure to ace/aro perspectives.

  • Pride Month Reads
  • I love everything I've read of Becky Chambers, it's like a warm hug in book form. I want to be Dex when I grow up!

  • What do people use to track their reading?
  • +1to StoryGraph! I prefer the UI (dark mode is important to me) and it has many more stats and charts than Goodreads.

  • What do people use to track their reading?
  • I have found StoryGraph is quite good and has better stats and charts than Goodreads (if you're into that kind of thing).

  • What are you reading this week? [6/18/23]
  • Neurodharma: New Science, Ancient Wisdom by Rick Hanson (a little dry, but interesting in small doses)

Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne (cozy fantasy, low stakes)

Seasonal Fears by Seanan McGuire (2nd book in a duology, compelling characters)

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari (Also a little dry, but the audiobook format makes it easy to consume while doing other things)
