I created a London community if you folks want to check it out!
  • You can't yet. You'll have to go to the site to open the link. It's a bit of a bug at the moment, on top of the fact that linking in the fediverse is a bit crap for now. They're working on making it easier to link between instances at the moment.

  • The heats not too bad with a fan tbf. As for what I'm doing today is work, but busy work as they don't really have a project for me to get on with since I finished this one faster than expected, and the next bit is delayed.

But otherwise sleep has been a pain as this year the hay fever seems to have activated my asthma which is fun. Oh and I have massive blisters and raw skin because Dr. Martens are way worse to break in than I anticipated.

  • What subreddits would you like to see replicated on the Fediverse?
  • If you're using jerboa then I'd recommend just going to a web browser and following the links their. Linking throughout the fediverse isn't quite optimal yet. I did hear there was a change proposed to the UI to fix that at least on the web, jerboa would need an update after that I imagine.

  • Lauren Boebert says the Pentagon sees her as a "security threat"
  • Sorry so much insane shit here. Firstly she's using a made up report by some random bloke on a conspiracy site (edit: which I'm pretty sure is called trailmix, so I think they're nutty) to substantiate her tweet, sure fine, pretty normal shit at this point.

But next she says that bud light and target are losing $27 billion over their LGBT stuff, which like, where does she get that from. That cannot be true whatsoever.

  • Le Mans results are in!
  • Really ready good race in the early parts. I'm a bit unhappy that Porsche didn't win (or even keep a car on the lead lap) but it's been a great first le mans for the reinvigorated HyperCar class. And I've finally seen someone other than Toyota win me mans!

  • Leclerc hails 'amazing' Vasseur for Ferrari changes
  • I don't think we can really draw a conclusion on whether vasseur has done a good job until next year. He hasn't had a chance to direct a car from the start yet, and Ferrari isn't really in a competitive position so any strategy screwup isn't going to be as noticeable.

  • What's your daily driver?
  • I think google are pushing tablet support more in general given that they've released a tablet as well. Can't quite remember but I think they're doing something like putting apps that don't have tablet forms into a cropped window like that 16:9 mode you can choose to encourage developers to support tablets better.

  • What's everyone been reading recently?
  • I've been reading The Expanse series. I was meaning to get too it for a while but stumbled across the first book in a bookshop, so I grabbed it. Yeah, really good had to read the entire series so I'm making my way through it. I'm currently on book 4, so I haven't quite overtaken where I left the Amazon series.

  • Star Trucker: Elite Dangerous meets American Truck Simulator
  • Honestly based on my experience with ets2 and ats I don't think there's a lot missing from elite. Maybe just a requirement that you sleep/rest every 8hrsish, but it's a real time game so you're probably going to sleep reasonably often irl anyway.

  • BREAKING: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on the verge of completing a free transfer to Aston Villa.
