A lot of really cool stuff in this one, especially if you've already listened to the whole series you'll find a lot of neat things.
Oh man I loved welcome to nightvale man. I haven't finished it but I listened to at least the first 150 episodes I think. It's been a hot minute since I've listened though so I'm not sure lol
Ahh well at least you gave it a shot! It's not for everyone I understand :) thanks for being here with us though
The thing that got me into magnus archives (minor spoilers)
This is the video my wife sent me a while back saying that it seemed like something I would like. So I was like alright I'll give it a shot. After the first few episodes I was skeptical, but around episode 30 or so I couldn't stop listening to it lol. Sorry it's tiktok
Just to start the discussion I will say the series starts a little bit slow. It really picks up after around episode 30 but the earlier episodes are still really good what do you all think of this first episode?

Welcome to the Magnus Archives! Listen to the horror podcast with us! We will be doing a weekly discussion going through each of the episodes starting with episode 1 - Anglerfish. I am going to try to post them every Friday around 12:00 EDT. Any questions or discussion about this episode feel free to post here :)
The acting gets better I promise lol at first it's not the best tbh but it does get better. :)
Absolutely! I was very skeptical when I first started listening to it but after a few episodes I was like oh that's good. And by the end of it I was so dad it was over lol
Thank you! I hope to keep it active but I don't want to be too spammy with it if you know what I mean lol, I see a lot of communities pop up and then put way too much content out at once, I really don't want to do that I would rather it naturally grow with regular posts :)
Its a horror podcast centered around an archive that researches the paranormal and they find out fairly quickly how true some of the stories are. so if you enjoy horror I would recommend giving it a listen with us :)
I would really recommend giving it another chance, it's incredible. And you can always come back and we can talk about it here if you would like!
Oh that's good to know! Thank you :) I plan on putting a few things out, mainly a weekly post where we go through each episode and talk about it
https://the.unknowing.dance/c/tma this is it here I didn't really know that so thanks for letting me know!

I saw someone else has posted here previously but it seems to be pretty dead and I can't really get in touch with the person over it so I started another one and I plan on doing some weekly content on there if anyone is interested :)
just in case anyone that comes here would like to Join I did make a Magnus community here is the link. if this violates any rules or anything please let me know but I just thought maybe some people that come here would enjoy it :)
Welcome to the Magnus Archives!
I am planning on doing a good bit in this community, I would like to get like minded people that enjoy this series as much as I do in here and talk about it. I'm also planning on starting up possibly a weekly series where we listen to the the series from the beginning and talk about that episode. If anyone has any recommendations or anything you think I should add please let me know :)
I am going to start the weekly series on Friday the 12th of july, so I can hopefully come up with some good stuff to talk about on there, and am going to be doing it every friday after that so be sure to check in here.
Wow that was actually really well done, k really enjoyed that! Thanks for sharing :)
Actually does anyone know if there is a lemmy community around the magnus universe? If not I'm going to make one honestly
Oh man it's so good I've listened to it all the way through at least 5 times
It is absolutely good so far lol from the first episode it's great imo. There's about 20 episodes out right now but for sure still recommend it
Holy shit that's from magnus archives! Absolutely amazing horror podcast if you've never heard it, and they have a new series out called magnus protocol. If you're into that sort of stuff I 100% recommend 👌
Does anyone have any experience with this game? Looks neat and I was thinking about picking it up on the steam sale, but I'm not sure.
Thanks everyone for the replies :) yeah I'll probably end up picking it up then.
We're currently dealing with care homes for Mt father and law and let me tell you, if we were not there every day my father in law would probably not have made it. He had a stroke and sent him to the only place nearby that could take him and in the time span of maybe 2 days he fell multiple times, one of them being bad enough he had a huge bump on his head and he started bleeding from the brain again. We're still fighting the home but if that's how they treat patients who have family nearby imagine how bad it is when there's no one to check up on them. Atrocious honestly.
Did anyone else know this about the liquid morkite missions?
A fellow dwarf in my lobby recently told me that in the liquid morkite missions, depending on the hazard level, there's always 2 to 3 breakdowns and then 1 more when it gets to 99%. Is this true? If so I didn't know this and just found it interesting so I thought I'd share!
