It's a real cookbook! The author did her best to mimic the in-game food as realistic recipes. The recipes are definitely a bit of both, one of my favorites from the first one were "chuchu jellies" that had different flavors for different colors of preserves, like spicy or minty. They also vary greatly in difficulty, some are quite simple while others require a good bit of effort, like the bottling for the jellies. The author got into cheesemaking since the main draw to it seems to be a Hateno cheese that was said to take a few months to make.
The 2nd Unofficial Legend of Zelda Cookbook
I got my hands on a Master Edition of the first book years ago and fell in love with it! I'm super excited for this. What are some TOTK recipes that you guys would want to see?
Make that... triosies? Threeses?
I'm with you, it's kind of annoying to see just how much people seethe over a platform. It looks exactly like what redditors did with IG, or TT, or emojis. I understand people's frustrations with TT, but as someone who's made content for both TT and YT shorts, engagement for small guys absolutely sucks on shorts and when TT is banned, there's basically no real alternative. Not only that, but I'm also very concerned about the precedent that's set by effectively censoring parts of the internet for Americans.
That being said I am also super pumped for Loops, I hope there's more updates soon because I've been keeping an eye on that for a while!
While companies like Nintendo continually kill off game accessibility, Steam doesn't really take away games from anyone. Digital distribution may not be ownership, but Steam in particular hasn't given reason to worry.
I remember seeing one on reddit a few years ago exactly like this.
I wish I could have done something like that. Strangely enough, that time I was technically early, because after I got to the empty gate way past departure time, I hadn't realized I scheduled my flight a week later than I thought. I didn't think I could get it moved up, and I ended up buying really expensive tickets same day.
I've just about keeled from trying to catch a plane, stressed out and with hypertension. I have and will wait for a full 8 hours outside my gate.
Yeah, some companies are very slow to adapt. One company I worked for was still using SVN. It was a nightmare lol, and when they did finally migrate to git, some of my coworkers were completely lost.
But there's also something to be said among developers I've worked with on hobbyist projects. Plenty of people who just shared files over and over, or just had it on Google drive or Dropbox
I'm honestly blown away by how many developers don't even know the basics of git
Yeah, that kernel was what I was seeing. It does look like the feature matrix shows everything is supported for SLS1 which is nice. I've got no money to spend on a new device though, plus I really do like the SLS a lot. SLS and my old SB2 are some of my favorite devices, I just wish they didn't decide to kill everything but the bottom line. My Duo 2 finally gave in recently too.
I'm with you, I'm not too concerned about the camera. Mostly just use mine for coding, modeling, and video editing.
Surface Linux question
I've already had lots of concerns about continuing to use windows, but recall and copilot in general send me reeling. I'd like to start migrating to Linux on both my machines, but right now it would be much easier to do so on my laptop than my main PC just yet.
The main concern I have is that I've had rough times with drivers on laptops running Linux, so I want to assess the QoL of Linux on Surface. I've dug around already on reddit and lemmy and seen some mention of the Surface Linux drivers that exist, but I'm hoping to get a personal account of as close a scenario as mine would be.
I'm big on KDE Neon, and I want to run it on my Surface Laptop Studio. Can anybody tell me if you've done the same or similar, and how is it? What's the most trouble you've run into?
Without a better voting system, there's not really much choice otherwise. Voting third party requires a majority of voters to not only know the downsides of the system and style of voting, but also to trust that the rest of that majority are going to both know and act on that before they act that way themselves. Otherwise it would just be contributing to the spoiler effect. It would be like trying to pause a game of Fortnite, or convincing states to cast electoral votes according to the national popular vote without, I don't know, some sort of National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
I remember a point around 2015ish where a lot of web apps went from recommending Firefox and Chrome for the best experience to just Chrome. Now I often see "don't use Firefox" as a support tactic.
One half of my mind wishes developers did make more money because these games are so much more effort than the games that were the same price decades ago, but the other half knows that devs don't see a dime of that hiked price.
Yes! What can you tell me about all the subshapes?
How do I create a Youzoid™?
do I need to interrogate her to find out what they are
and how I can shape love into them
