new Beehaw community icons!
  • They really pop out nicely!

  • I made a map for an RPG adventure
  • I'd love to wake up with amnesia in this town. Looks great!

  • why are we so hated outside the community?
  • Exactly, so what? Life is so much better when you are accepting of people and their wishes, instead of actively hating them for no good reason.

  • why are we so hated outside the community?
  • It is just ignorance that's been passed down from previous generations.

I am a heterosexual male and I never understood the hate against the LGBTQ+ community (especially in less woke countries). It seems pointless to hate people for wanting to be who they truly feel they are.

  • What are some Gemini and Gopher sites that are good?
  • I'd like to see your site :)

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • Nice thanks! I actually have a book on clojure and racket I got in a humble bundle a while ago too.

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • I love Artix. Great choice.

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • I think you should definitely make it open source.

I struggled with thinking my code was too bad to publish but once you realize that employers don't necessarily care how good your code is (as a junior dev), just that you HAVE coded and are pushing to GitHub. I sucked at React but now it's my job so I'm pretty good at it. I have a lot to learn still but that's okay.

    Good luck with your project!

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • Exactly! Just code to code, it doesn't need to lead to anything.

    Great mentality.

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • I really want to learn lisp too.

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • That sounds like quite a fun bot tbh.

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • I'd like to play that, sounds like my jam.

    Good luck with the cert!

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • Nice, is there a repo?

  • What projects are you working on at the moment?
  • That sounds great! Good luck with the game (feel free to send me a link once it's up).

I must dive into Laravel soon, it sounds so fun.

I have been working on a forum site just to dabble with PHP. I'm dockerising it too to practice docker.

    How'd you get into programming?
  • In 2021, I had the same thought as you. Thought websites were cool so learned HTML, then the rest. Went to night college until about a week ago studying web dev and mobile dev.

I got recruited into a company about a year ago now (during college) and have been an employed Front-end developer ever since.

  • community is something we generally take for granted, but there is incredible beauty in watching a community finally take flight
  • This was lovely to read.

I only ever lurked on reddit using the Infinity 3rd party app cause you didn't need an account to follow subs, but here I actually feel like posting and getting involved in the community. It's a really chill vibe.

  • Reddit mods are organizing blackouts to protest against API changes
  • I have been using reddit for about 5 years and have always used the Infinity 3rd party app. I liked it because I didn't have to have an account and it wasn't as buggy. It will be a shame if it has to be discontinued.
