Yeah, the release of the new version caught us on the hop. Should be okay now.
I love it too. Fortunately Liftoff! has it as an option! (see announcement post)
Collapsed view is already implemented as a user setting in Liftoff! (see announcement post). Good call on the search.
Yes, I don't think the original devs could ever have seen a post with more than a handful of comments. As soon as they mount up we do start to have issues. It will be a priority are for Liftoff! (see announcement here!)
Limbo for Lemmy is now ready for Liftoff!
Hi All,
It has been a crazy few days as I've been trying to keep up with all your great feedback about the app.
When it was pointed out that there was another app in development using the same codebase, I was really interested to see how they were progressing, and in discussing our two projects we very quickly realised that we could move so much faster if we joined forces.
So we've just announced our new combined app Liftoff!
We've brought together the best parts of both projects and have opened up the source for the project for your inspection and contributions.
We will be using GitHub for logging issues, and I will ensure over the next couple of days that all the points that have been raised here or through TestFlight are captured there.
If you want to have longer discussions and interactions with us, we have a new community at https://lemmy.world/c/liftoff.
Thanks all for your support, encouragement and criticism, and I hope to be hearing from you at the new community.
Thanks, Michael
Great feedback thanks. The usual feedback and reporting channels will be opened very soon, but I am paying attention to comments here, so it's all helping!
Yeah, they updated their API version, so some things need fixing...
Lemmy.ml updated their API version last night, so some features are a little tricky right now. I'll have a closer look.
Not a problem, that's a really important feature to have (and easy to implement a simple solution :-). Thanks for raising it.
I think you're waaay ahead of the curve here. It will be interesting to see what mind-blowing integrations people come up with hooking all these fediverse elements together, but for now I'm keeping the focus on getting up and running as a Lemmy client!
Should be solved in build 0.0.1+7 now in TestFlight.
Thanks for reporting it.
Now added in TestBuild build 0.0.1+7.

Build 0.0.1+7 now in TestFlight
This fixes problems caused by a change to the API which meant that comments on posts retrieved via lemmy.ml failed to load. Thanks to everyone who reported this via TestFlight!
Also includes preference for warning on posts with NSFW content, and trimming of excessively long post body text.
Available as usual at https://testflight.apple.com/join/e6ZEbxuR
Tapping at the very top of the screen will take you to the top, and you can then pull to refresh. Not quite as quick, but near enough :-)
Oh this is so unexpected. The excitement I felt at seeing Mlem move forward so quickly with so much support from its users was one of the things that inspired me to believe in Lemmy and to start working on Limbo. Thank you for your incredible work, and well done for having the insight and courage to step back when you needed to do so. Please take some time to look after yourself.
All content except the title of posts marked NSFW now requires a click-through by default to view. This can be changed in Settings > Appearance.
Note that you may not even see NSFW posts depending on your server settings.
Good question, I'll have a look.
I assume this is in the "EVERYTHING" feed? You can only interact with posts that have been delivered to you by a server you're logged on to. If the post came from a server you're only browsing then you can't interact. This is made clearer in the coming build.
No but it's certainly something a lot of people are asking about :-)
I'll be opening the GitHub repo up once I'm comfortable that the app is robust. In the meantime, this is the best place to get my attention!
Yes it is and the code will be released once I'm comfortable we've got a robust app :-)
It appears to work on Android too, and once I'm happy that this beta hasn't shown up any fundamental problems I'll look at that side of things.
This is the best place to get my attention!
Filter request understood and sounds doable.
Collapse replies -- long press on the comment :-)
New version 0.0.1+3 on TestFlight
Fixes for a couple of important issues:
- Make EVERYTHING feed an option, off by default. This was causing confusion as posts picked up from servers where the user isn't logged on can't be voted on, replied to etc. Making this clear is requiring a bit of thinking about how posts are presented, so this option must now be selected in Settings > General
- Change the DELETE account option to be a much less dangerous REMOVE. I've not had any irate feedback yet, but that was too dangerous an action to leave in this app.
Thanks to the over 50 people who have downloaded the app so far. No crashes encountered yet, but lots of great feedback both here and in TestFlight, so thank you all!
The app should update automatically, although I had to fiddle around to get the update myself, so let me know if you have any problems.

Yes, it's yet another app for Lemmy.
Based heavily on the abandoned Lemmur project, with a few updates to make it run with the current API and some minor changes to the UI.
Written in Flutter, so although it's only available for iPhone and iPad right now, it does run on macOS and Android so releases for those platforms may be on their way.
I will be releasing the source once the app has gone through this beta testing phase.
Let me know here of any issues or in the TestFlight build (long press on the icon). Once I've opened the source we can start using GitHub to track issues.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- The app occasionally forgets who you are and mistakenly nags you to log in when trying to comment or vote.
Developers: interested in helping out? Experienced with Mobx, Provider and Freezed? Let me know!
Features:
- Full featured for end users
- Light Mode, Dark Mode, System Mode
- Multiple accounts on multiple servers
- Localisation (work in progress)
- Full search support (posts, comments, users, communities)
