Comment sort setting and communities
Is there a way to change default comment sorting and if not, could this feature be added? Also, is there a reason I can’t upvote or post to communities on other instances?

Good question, I'll have a look.
I assume this is in the "EVERYTHING" feed? You can only interact with posts that have been delivered to you by a server you're logged on to. If the post came from a server you're only browsing then you can't interact. This is made clearer in the coming build.
