Haters will say it’s fake
  • No, because he never said it directly just hinted at it:

Asked in October if he would only serve one term if elected, the former vice president told the Associated Press that he wouldn't make that promise but he wasn't deeply committed to seeking a second term.

"I feel good and all I can say is, watch me, you'll see," Biden said. "It doesn't mean I would run a second term. I'm not going to make that judgment at this moment."

However there were several advisors on his campaign that said it:

"If Biden is elected, he's going to be 82 years old in four years and he won't be running for reelection," a prominent adviser to the campaign told Politico.

  • The gender wars continue 🥹
  • "Harris has a significant lead among young registered voters in the NBC News Stay Tuned Gen Z Poll powered by SurveyMonkey. But a yawning gender gap is dividing Gen Z."

That being said, we all know how inaccurate polls can be sometimes.

  • Trump wins.
  • Why put this on all of us when only 1/3 of the country eligible voters in this country voted for him? When taking voter turnout into consideration (a third of the eligible voters didn't vote).

    Eligible voters' results:

    34% Trump

    32% Harris

    33% Did not vote

Don't put this on the other half of the country that abhors him.

  • In related news:

In June 2016, a class action lawsuit was filed against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for violating the DNC Charter by rigging the Democratic presidential primaries for Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders. Even former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid admitted in July 2016, “I knew—everybody knew—that this was not a fair deal.”

  • Flipping the narrative: if you can get a solid stint of sobriety now, you'll be in good shape come January and whatever comes after that.

Good point. Thanks for giving me at least one positive thing to think about for January 2025.

  • Considering last night's results, I don't expect NATO to be credible 4 years from now
  • Let me get this straight, you're siding with the enemy occupation? If not, then why would you have a problem with a sovereign nation retaking their own country.

"A stay-behind operation is one where a country places secret operatives or organizations in its own territory, for use in case of a later enemy occupation. The stay-behind operatives would then form the basis of a resistance movement, and act as spies from behind enemy lines."

They leave spies in their own territory when being invaded in order to get their country back. How dare they‽

  • Also again, considering you're the looser, you might want to shut up and listen instead of blaming everybody else.

I'm the "looser?" Looser than what?

And, I didn't mean to trigger you. There's no need to flood my inbox with replies.

  • "Good job to all the fucks who repeated genocide wasn't that big of a deal lmao."

"You lost. You should really shut the fuck up."

I don't think anyone was saying that "genocide wasn't that big of a deal." What I repeatedly heard was people rightfully pointing out that the Gaza genocide would be much worse under a Trump presidency. Only bad-faith actors were twisting their words and pretending that that was condoning genocide. You fell for the propaganda... or you're one of the ones spreading it.

  • American here too: please don't drink. He's not worth it.

But I feel your pain. I was at the beginning of my second day sober when I read the news. You can't imagine how much I want a drink right now. I'm so scared about the future.

But, I can do this. Day three is only a few hours away. I'm crying a lot, but I can get through this.

  • Nice! Good job.

I've quit a couple of times; 1.5 years, 10 months, and a few shorter stints. A few days ago I decided it was time again. 2 days sober now and it's rough, especially with the election results (terrible time to quit LOL).

I'm not sure how long I can make it this time but I'm taking the 24 hour pledge to not drink. Wish me luck.
