Not everyone is. Your personal fight means nothing against the most powerful state in the world. You need a popular movement to just have a chance. Otherwise it's just part suicidal doomerism part larp.
Fascists do care about winning, that is why they pump so much money into being elected, as elections are one of the most frictionless paths to power. That's why they change the rules to make themselves more likely to be elected. That's why they try to disenfranchise people who would vote against them. A coup is a risky thing, which is why they take all paths to power which are available.
You fight the cancer with everything you have or you die.
The problem is, you don't have much. There isn't a robust labor movement in the US which could provide a front against fascism. Any small scale or individual struggle might help you personally and save lives, but it's not gonna stop the bus. At most it's gonna pull some of the people from it before it drives of the cliff.
If you want to fight the guys who're about to hijack the bus, you need time. As much time as possible to amass the response. Voting for shit burgers is just what gives you that sliver of it. This is the thing you keep doing to be able to keep going, not the saving grace.

I'm not the first day in this, which is why I've put it in scare quotes. And I think exposing unwitting apathetic liberals to tankies is bad. Not platforming fascists is good, defederating from far-right and tankie instances empowers the left.
The modern leftist discourse is full of anti-Western sentiment. Which is good and deserved, but this also means there's a larger susceptibility towards fascist propaganda, when this propaganda is directed against the hegemon. In addition to that, the thalassocratic nature of the American empire makes most leftist much less heuristically equipped to tackle issues of differently structured empires. These factors bolster development of tankie sentiment, ranging from genuine leftists supporting fascism to genuine fascists who love left-sounding rhetoric.
So if you're coddling fascists in your community, don't cry suppression when anti-fascists stop associating with you as well. You can just drop the community which engages in this and move elsewhere. If you're still okay with that, then other people's concerns about you were justified.
The same way as with tolerating open fascists, just letting them be around as long as they're "nice" will give them ample opportunity to spread their propaganda in a more covert way. Some things will look innocuous enough and won't be cleaned up, other will create drama on being moderated, so the mods might have harder time deciding. This won't break their echo chamber, as such things existed even in the ever-open reddit. Just cut them off, it will be better both for the communists around, and for the "non-ideological" crowd.

I feel you. I've been using Reddit exclusively for niche communities and some occasional long-form posts a-la askhistorians. The memes and general posting stuff I don't really care about, but I'm struggling to find good replacements for the unique little things.
Why would I care how I look to you? I don't know you, and looking at your love for strawmen, I'm not eager getting to know you either.
They have the right to do this, and you have the right to leave reddit.
I also have the right to complain about their or other's actions, or to advocate for doing things in response to it. The right is not a justification of their action, and the profit justification is not a reason for me to shut up when things I used and am still using will stop working.
