I guess it is time to move off lemmy world
And every quest feels interesting instead of auto generated rinse and repeat without any voice acting you get in any other game. I really missed this from older rpgs
Am I missing something or is there no share button on posts?
I really do love the image handling in Mlem (swipe to close, tap to zoom in/out); it has been something that Memmy has been struggling with a lot.
I’m confused - they confirmed 6 deaths, but did not know how or where they occurred…. So are the deaths even related to the fire?
Shout out to Justin meet built into Brave browser for quick peer to peer AV calls with e2e support
Another reason old people should not be driving multi ton death machines
Was able to stream it without downloading on Safari iOS
Thanks! Think I will use this for my next build.
Could you share some pictures of the GPU setup? Really liking this so far.
The operation in Guarujá was criticised by Brazil's Justice Minister Flavio Dino, who said the police's reaction was not proportional to the crime committed.
I am curious, what would have been a proportional respond to a police officer being killed then? Let them get away without anything?
As tragic as any life loss is, I am not sure what other outcome could be expected from going after traffickers that are killing officers
This is the only way - gotta save those 3 spell slots!
FYI your link is broken and is just leading to the archive home page
A bit short sighted to not have Proton Pass Family plans; I have 7 other people on my password managers that share vaults; trying to bundle Pass into the Proton Family suite (mail, storage, etc.) is going to miss a decent amount of users who are only looking for a password manager.
Having grown up in the commercial tv era is why I despise ads.
Are there significant advantages to switching to zfs?
Will give it another try and see if I can replicate it; I didn’t have anything clearing storage past the typical blocking of uBlock/Brave
I have tried to use this site over the last few weeks and every time I open it, I have to relogin.
I kind of gave up after repeating it several times.
Thanks for sharing! Have been thinking of writing a script to identify active communities and based on criteria, subscribe to them on my personal instance; this will be really helpful for it!
I think it has been a great experience so far; I joined Lemmy.world after seeing it mentioned in comments on Reddit and after signing up, stopped all my usage of Reddit even before the API changes went into effect.
It took some work to find communities and block all the repost bots, as I think the bots just create spam without any user engagement.
I think some of the biggest improvements Lemmy can do now is:
- to fix the sorting algorithms. For example so that Hot is not bringing up 3 year old posts that got one or two comments, and instead highlights current content that users are engaging on
- maturity of mobile applications. Memmy and Mlem have seen rapid development and are becoming great apps already, but need some refining that will come with time and user feedback
There goes the argument of non technical users falling for scams. The tables have turned!
I do wonder if this would be negated by containered applications
Yuki - going on 2yrs and loves to sleep on you

If not on you, then on your laptop, regardless of what is in the way!
Anyway to block all bot accounts
Too much of the feed is filled with bots posting copy/pasta with 0 engagement; it would be great to have a filter for these accounts and only see posts from real users
Notifications - a much needed feature
Currently there is no way to tell if your posts or comments have any responses, so often I am having to dip into the web PWA to check and respond. I know there is a ton of things y’all are working on (and it looks amazing), thought I’d just throw in a vote for this feature!
What Penetration Testing do you run?
As my home network grows, I've been trying to tighten down the security and separate devices/VMs/containers into vlans and hide them behind reverse proxies and security gateways.
That being said, I would love to hear what approaches folks use to pen test their self hosted environments to find any holes/leaks.
Power leveling Communities
Having reached low 60s, wondering if there are any Discord/Communities for power leveling? Would love to join to help others and level up some alts.
Diablo 3 had a great way to connect with folks in game by joining communities in game and easily interacting with others; unfortunately Diablo 4 seems to be lacking in that area
