"queer" is for people who fall outside the societal "norms" of sexuality, attraction, and gender presentation. If someone feels they fit that description, who are we to stop them

I've been using some mods, yeah. I try to stick to the spirit of vanilla though, the VE mods are great for that. Been playing a medieval game recently, trying to eventually tech up to gene modding, then I'll see where I go from there
Kinda bouncing around a few games right now, mostly though I picked RimWorld back up, been having fun with that, as well as getting back in to pushing m+ in wow, which I always enjoy
Disco Elysium was a huge inspiration to me, and I really want to capture the same "hope despite hopelessness" feel, though from a different perspective, as I'm not from a post-soviet country. I've also always had this idea in the back of my head of a sort of "invisible apocalypse", the idea that the world is ending and nobody notices. Ultimately I just want to make good, communist art. If I can make something even 1/10th as great as DE I would consider it a huge success.
Fwiw this isn't always true. Chickens will produce plenty of eggs without needing to give them any kinds of hormones, which are largely for meat production regardless, not eggs.
