Just got really interested in sprouting tonight. I ordered myself a mason jar sprouting kit with a variety starter pack of 5 different kinds of sprouting seeds. Also got myself a sprouting ebook. After reading the first couple of chapters the thought occurred to me to check and see if there was a Lemmy community, and found this with a single post from 2 months ago. Hope more people eventually join. I'll posted my first results after I get everything.

Thanks for the transparency, and communication. I think it's always better when the userbase is able to understand what is going on rather than being left in the dark wondering what is going wrong. Keep up the good work, but also be sure you guys get enough rest, and take care of yourselves too.

Same as the other responses I have given. I think we should make as much of an effort as we can for anyone. It doesn't mean I have like them, or what they do with their money.

I don't think a persons socioeconomic status should be a determining factor of how much effort, and money we spend to save lives. We should do as much as we are able for anyone, and, yes, it is a reminder that we are letting other people die. I wish we as a society was better about that.

I have plenty of criticisms about billionaires, but saying we should just let them die is going too far.

I have had it randomly just close on me occasionally, and the other day it would crash every time I would click a specific link, but that same link worked just fine in the web UI.

As far as what I miss in Jerboa vs web UI. When searching communities there is less info displayed such as the amount of total sub for a community and whether or not I am already subscribed. There are 4 different popup menu controls up top, and I always forget which one as has the thing I'm looking for. If I have to move the cursor in a block of text I have written I find it harder than most other apps to get in the right place with my fat fingers. Though that's also hard on the web UI on mobile too because the text is smaller. Also, there is no fediverse icon that links to the original source of a post outside your instance.

Just now when I tried to respond to you it timed out when sending it, and I had to re-type everything.

Edit: I guess the timeout issue may not have had anything to do with the app, and could have been a server issue.

Would definitely be interested in Sync for Lemmy! I've been switching back and forth from Lemmy's web UI, and the Jerboa app. I like Jerboa, but it has been a bit buggy and in some ways isn't as good as the web UI, and I think the developer of Jerboa is too busy with improving the Lemmy API to focus on Jerboa.

I used Sync for Reddit for a long time, and really liked it. I did eventually move on to Boost for Reddit, but now that I'm moving away from Reddit in general. I'd like to see more options for Lemmy apps.

It's awesome to see a posts like this that's so open about what going on behind the scenes. I'm new to this fediverse stuff. It's taking a while to learn about it all, but I really like the open source nature of it all, and not being reliant on a single corporate entity. I really want to see Lemmy, and this instance, as well as other fediverse projects succeed and grow. I happily donated. Keep up the good work!

I definitely plan to, though probably not on day one. I have a feeling that it will probably be really buggy at first, both because it's Bethesda, and because it looks really ambitious feature-wise, so will probably need a while iron out the worst bugs. Also I play on Linux, so will need to use the Proton compatibility layer which might not work perfectly at first.

I love NMS though, and have over 1600 hrs. in it. NMS has a charm, and aesthetic vibe that seems quite different to what I have seen of Starfield, so I don't think it will replace NMS for me. I plan to play both.

Lemmy, and kbin are both still rough around the edges and needs improvement, but I'm really interested in where they go from here. I really like the idea of the fediverse, and its open nature, and ability for anyone to host an instance. I really hope it's popularity continues to grow, and I definitely plan to stick around here whether or not Reddit rights it's wrongs this time around.

Reddit's CEO has shown his true colors, and it's yet another example of why we can never really rely on centralized, proprietary, and corporate owned services in the long term.

I have yet to decide whether or not I will completely abandon Reddit. I'm waiting to see if Reddit will change its stance about the API, and also if Lemmy and/or kbin remain active enough long term.
