But do we need some kind of SSO layer with DID verification? All I need to prove my identity anywhere, technically, is my private+public keypair. As long as I hold on to this keypair, distribute it between apps/computers, back it up, I could log in anywhere on a federated platform and use it.
I hope we're going to see key-based decentralized identity on ActivityPub at some point... Having accounts tied to instances is just not very robust or scalable.

Ah you're right, I had assumed since it was a humbucker the two rows would be aligned straight, but now I see the coils are in line with the strings as they should be. Fascinating guitar OP. Nice work.

The 80's and 90's are long gone, you need to treat the Switch with some respect
Nintendo must be thinking: <in Japanese> Yall are still doing this?
Ah, yes coil split makes sense. But doesn't the angle screw with the humbucker when it's in HB mode? I've always heard humbuckers shouldn't be angled.
I'm curious why you went with the (reversed?) angle on the bridge humbucker pickup? I've never seen anything like it.
Ah I just noticed it's a lefty. But yeah, why the angled humbucker?
What they really mean is: Polite to them, the people with the means of easily inflicting deadly violence upon others.
Gun ownership is just another expression of the deep selfishness ingrained in American culture.
It sometimes seems like there's nothing good in this country congress won't eventually destroy. The USPS was, and is, mostly an excellent organization. Only sabotage will bring it down.
The cruelty is the point.
"Practical Engineering" is a fantastic channel. I especially appreciate all the infrastructure failure analysis videos he has done. It let me (a non civil engineer) understand why certain infrastructure disasters like collapses, power outages, or dam breaches were able to occur.

Toen ik m’n eerste Nokia kreeg op het middelbaar (ja, ik ben oud) mocht ‘ie ook niet de klas in. Zo’n regel lijkt me me vrij logisch.
Max is probably right but that doesn't make Spa (my favorite track!) "safe". Two deaths in 4 years is very unusual for modern motor racing. Something needs to be done with Raidillon, like automatic instant yellow flags whenever a car leaves the track.
Or maybe a speed limit through Raidillon in the rain makes sense.
Their first album indubitably is my favorite, obviously.
Most of the Koopa kids were named after musicians
- Wendy O. Williams from the Plasmatics
- Iggy Pop from Iggy Pop & The Stooges
- Roy Orbison, the songwriter and rock & roll legend
- Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead
- Ludwig van Beethoven, obviously
Albon is one of the reasons I'm liking this season. He's obviously not in the fast car anymore, but he's getting great results and he seems happy.
DOSBox-X is not only a DOS runtime environment. Providing full system emulation, you can run operating systems that are far beyond DOS.

Not sure how unpopular it is, but "The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary" is a great remaster of a game which I think is a bit forgotten now. It's still a really fun and charming citybuilder with unique mechanics.

What's your pick for heaviest metal album? This is probably mine.
The NABU Network was an obscure, forgotten part of Canadian tech history—until the day the internet noticed that thousands of NABU machines were being sold on eBay at rock-bottom prices.
Wondering about Rust? We're addressing rumors and providing insight gained from years of early adoption of Rust here at Google.
Rust adoption at Google: > over 1,000 Google developers ... have authored and committed Rust code as some part of their work in 2022
The learning curve might not be as steep as often said: > More than 2/3 of respondents are confident in contributing to a Rust codebase within two months or less when learning Rust. Further, a third of respondents become as productive using Rust as other languages in two months or less

Fabian Giesen on useful AVX-512 features
By request, my usual "the least interesting part about AVX-512 is the 512 bits vector width" infodump in thread form. So here goes, a laundry list of things introduced with AVX-512 that I think are way more important to typical use cases than the 512-bit vectors are:
