I posted about this a few days ago. Thought id share that I got the bike!

02 Yamaha 225 xt in what appears to be excellent condition, 3600 miles for $2800.

A very knowledgeable and helpful father and son showed it to me and help me lift it into the truck which was very appreciated.

Was going to ride it today but the cold weather was too much for the dying battery. Still, im pumped!

Seems like its in good shape but im a noob. He's asking 3000, seems a little high to me but again, idk. Appreciate any insights.

New rider looking for an entry level dual sport. XR 150 seems perfect. I knew it would cost more to have a new bike but an extra $900 in delivery/setup? Ive got no intention of paying. Im just bitchin. See what yall think?

Hooked up a new controller from Amazon to my dual motor 500 watt bike. I'm a rookie so I just hooked it up to the rear motor. My commute is about 45 mins x 2 per day. It worked great for 2-3 weeks for a total of about 400 miles.

Then, yesterday, omw back, near the end of my trip, the motor started turning off. I let it rest for a minute and it finished the trip no problem.

Today the problem returned, I rested it and it helped but eventually it seed to stop working completely. It seems to be making the classic clunky sounds that accompany a bad motor.

Thankfully, I was able to hook it up to my other motor and had no issues.

So, obviously it's a motor problem. My looming question is, might my controller have caused the damage?

Overall the now apparently dead motor probably only had around 2k miles on it.

I suppose I plan on opening up the motor and checking hall sensors but it's all new to me. I also plan on not working the motor as much as I did with the first motor.

Any other tips/insights appreciated

I've got a single speed k1 wide chain I want to put on my multispeed bike (lectric 3.0 ebike).

I'm a newbie, not sure of what info on the bike might be relevant but it's a modern, 7 speed, freewheel.

I've messed this up before. I tried this chain on a different bike when converting it but I kept skipping.

Sounds like I need better fitting cogs? Do I need "wide" ones? Crankset and rear cog? Possible better fitting chain tensioner too? Shopping around, I'm not seeing much a difference in sizing for these parts.

Any tips appreciated

Probably dumb but thought it might be a thing. Got a standard, small, two-wheel trailer and wondered whether it could actually stabilize my ride. Maybeweigh it down some or modify it somehow? I'm talking for slippery conditions.

Sure, don't give dogs twinkies, but for that matter, don't give humans twinkies either. The idea makes it seem like dogs are aliens or something. Dog food ingredients are usually meat, grain and veggies, just like our meals. Food that is healthy for you is healthy for your dog, and vice versa.

Listening to a book..."Sapiens". Author talked about how dependent kids are. How compared to other animals, our babies need alot of support in the early stages of life.

Like alot of you I'm sure, I've got a fair amount of kids in my life...none of "mine" but some kind of are. I guess my point is we may not have kids, but really, they are all our kids, as supported by evolutionary biology, it takes a village.

Edit: Going a bit deeper...the author explains that for millions of years, while we were tribal, nomadic gatherer/hunters. We didn't know who's kids were who's, obviously the mother was primary caretaker, but, circling back, we evolved to raise kids as a community, not so much of the "traditional" mom/dad/child dynamic popular today.

I don't plan on "having kids" but still, I think it's all our responsibility (hopefully a partially enjoyable one) to help. Hard to argue anything more beneficial for our societys future than having well developed youth.

Ran out of my ritual multi vitamins and wanted some quick, got these from Walgreens.
