A Team of Action Is Needed
  • Sure here and there

  • For chess players, lichess as an alternative to chess.com
  • Thanks! Was actually wondering about that yesterday after I got my ass handed to me twice in a row. Could really use some practice 😅

  • Germany football teams to swap Adidas for Nike kit from 2027
  • Just in time for the world cup in the US. Football isn't fun anymore.

  • I'm happy to help, just let me know how I can contribute. I'm not a professional but I know my way around image and video editing software and I'm free basically the entire rest of March.

  • Americans in my experience are the first to admit the country's issues and have been since before Trump. Which I'm mentioning because I see a lot of undirected hate towards them. That's what Russia and China want. To isolate the US on every level. I'm all for military independence and bringing the pain to Trump's economy but I think nuance when talking about the people is still in order. It's foolish to assume that this could only happen in the US because the people there are inherently rotten. As a German, ask me how I know.

I wholeheartedly agree with you though. The fact that you're not at fault for him being elected doesn't mean you're not responsible for your country's future.

  • Europe’s Defenses Risk Faltering Within Weeks Without US Support. If attacked, Europe’s ammunition stockpiles could run low within days and rearming will take years.
  • That's borderline fearmongering. Like it's not wrong but the same is true for Russia if they decided to attack another country on top of Ukraine right now. It's just an unlikely scenario and a couple of months from now the situation probably will be different anyway.

  • Unbelievable how common this still is. Hope we can get rid of WW2 bombs in time for WW3 bombs.

  • Britain’s biggest unions call for much closer UK-EU ties amid ‘volatile’ global economy
  • There's also a lot more nostalgia for the "good old days" than France or Germany seem to have.

There definitely was at the time but we've caught up since. Even in Germany despite what the "good old days" refer to here. The specific rhetoric varies between countries but ultimately this is just what happens when you rally morons and make them feel like they understand politics no matter the place.

  • How is Libre office nowadays? Is it a decent replacement to Microsoft Office?
  • It's fine but even though I'm a foss enthusiast I gotta say MS Word is more convenient.

  • About politico.eu

I see a lot of politico links in this sub and I'd just like to say:

    >POLITICO Europe is a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE.

That's a right leaning and pretty unethical publisher and politico has already been caught several times spreading reactionary propaganda. I also suspect they publish undisclosed opinion pieces as news. Like some fossil fuel investor explaining how wind turbines could be hacked by China without providing any compelling evidence. Many articles are well written so it's hard to spot the grift sometimes. Just stay vigilant.
