VPN Recommendations?
  • I got the 3 years deal, so it is quite cheap for me.

  • VPN Recommendations?
  • I have been using NordVPN since forever to be honest.

Never had any problem (servers always up and good speed too), but people say that it is very expensive in comparison with other VPN providers, so I don't know.

  • You too can be a Cracker
  • That was a great story. 😉

  • Repost sub from reddit to lemmy
  • Ahh ok, gotcha. Thank you for the explanation.

  • Admins are just Reddit mods^TM^ on steroids
  • That's outrageous. Reddit turned from "front page of the internet" to "shithole" in 1 second. LoL

  • To the people that still have the reddit app installed
  • I still have Infinity, it is a good app for Android, but I also use Apollo on my iPad.

When API changes accure, I will quit Reddit completely.

Lemmy is good so far, it needs help to popolate, I am using "Jerboa for Lemmy", and I am trying out "Connect for Lemmy".

I heard Lemmy can have Reddit API as Proxy, so old 3th app for reddit can be modified easily to become Lemmy client.

  • Repost sub from reddit to lemmy
  • What is this? Honestly I don't understand the "repost" thing.

  • Access info from reddit post?
  • Could be useful to know more information, such as:

    • Compatibility Layer used?
    • Linux Distro used?
    • Method of installation?

Normally I would avoid use cracked games on Steam, there could be some conflict I guess. Lutris would be better.

  • So, now that rarbg is gone, where do you go for new releases (movies)?
  • Anything wrong if I have been using 1337x for my torrents? 🤣

  • What do your battery usage estimates look like?
  • For 42% it said 9h 21m.

    This my health percentage:

So far nothing to complain about the battery. :)

  • I am afraid on iOS there are no easy work around, because you are not allowed to install app out of the App Store (I heard iOS 17 will have this feature).

However, you can use AltStore, is a program (Mac and Windows, no Linux if I am not mistaken) that allow you to side load 3 apps on you iPhone/iPad, but you will need to resign them every week to keep them working.

Having said that, as an iPadOS user, I can say that iTorrent is probably the best client to download torrents in your apple devices.

You can have a look at GitHub for more information. Sadly, the last update was on Sept 2020, but it stills work fine for me on my iPad Mini 5.

    Good luck 😊

EDIT: I am sorry, do you want something to manage your torrents from your iPhone? If so, sorry, I completely missread your request.

I think you can find an app you can install with AltStore.

  • #BestPhonesForever
  • Ahah they are funny 🤣

    • Typed from a Pixel 7 Pro.
  • [ Question ] How do Rip the content from Streaming Sites (Ex; Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc.;
  • I think they screen record it, but not through software.

Maybe they use a hardware to do that.

  • To anyone that misses Reddit Slide; I may have a present for you soon
  • True, I was using it for 5/6 months, but before that I used Apollo for years.

To be honest I feel good about Lemmy, It just needs time to popolate.

  • Steam Deck Stable Client Update: June 21st
  • Hopefully 😊 I have experienced some crashes recently.

  • Second hand deck?
  • Happy for you man.

    What storage does it have?

I am playing Diablo 4 at the moment, run flowlessly, but Battle.Net is a bit of a pain to handle on Linux.

Here are some tools you would want to install:

    • CryoUtilities: a tool to optimize SteamOS (Mostly RAM and Storage).
    • EmuDeck: it will install a various range of emulators, sadly BIOS are not included.
    • Docky Loader: it allow you to load Plugins and constomize your experience with SteamOS.
    • Heroic Launcher: Linux Client for Epic Store and GOG.com.

For the rest, have fun. :)

EDOT: As others have said, you better off to full factory reset it, as a PC it can be tempered easily.

  • Who can see my IP on Lemmy?
  • That sounds just about right. That fact that it is open source, already give me a good peace of mind.

    Thanks for the information. 😊

  • Windows 11 vs. Linux Gaming Performance On The ASUS ROG Ally
  • That was an interesting comparison. It is impressive how much Linux GAMING is improved.

    Thanks for sharing. 👍
