FWIW, I've been using multiple private trackers over the past decade and have never, not even once, gotten a letter of doom from my ISP. I'm currently seeding probably over 1TB of shit on my UNRAID server to multiple private trackers as I type this. None of that is behind a VPN.
Now, public trackers are a whole other story, I always will use public trackers from behind a VPN. The couple times I have forgotten to download from behind a VPN using them I have gotten insta-emailed from my ISP to cut it out.
/r/fuuuuuu I think was called or something was one of the first subs I subscribed to back in the day, then I unsubbed after some time because I realized it was draining my IQ
At that point why don't you just play a pirated version on the game lol it seems like less of a hassle
I used to watch a lot of Angry Video Game Nerd back in the day, the old stuff still holds up.

The newer stuff he's been putting out is meh.
There's a coming recession?
Damn, check out this guy with his fancy embedded meme into his comment.
I was also using Joey and during this while Reddit API thing you are the only other person I've seen even mention the app. I guess Joey was really under the radar lol
I've actually been kind of sick of Reddit anyways and was just waiting for an excuse to drop it entirely so I'm happy spez has finally given me that extra push out lol
As far as I'm aware, VeraCrypt is still the best solution.
+1 for connect. Very easy to set up and looks great.
Another thing to note is that Reddit was slow and buggy in it's early days. There's gonna be some growing pains but not really a big deal to me.
The only thing I like doing in these games is designing houses, not interested in the whole "Sims" part of it. So it would really suck if all the community made assets are stuck behind a pay wall to the point of not even being able to mod stuff in.
what piece of software did you download that was 700gb??
You're not the only one, seems like beehaw is having some technical issues under the hood. I also try to subscribe to beehaw communities through lemmy.world and it gets stuck on "Subscribe Pending". I think we should just wait it out, they are probably overloaded with new users at the moment.
I already pay for Apollo, I'd happily keep paying for Apollo for Lemmy, I'm sure tons of users would.
