If the neighborhood is safe for a 7 year old without an Apple watch, go ahead. If it's but the case and they think the watch will make a difference... That's negligence.
This is the internet. Some people will. Probably a lot. Do you expect everybody to have your exact same sensibles and kind of humor?
Somebody doesn't have a sense of humor it seems
"I'm going to strap a $700 watch to this $15K bag of organs, as a tip"
It saddens me to see quality pipe being wasted.
Is the mod the NPC companion """"""only"""""? I would love a Terry Pratchett's side quest, but I'm not sure I would replay oblivion only for this.
Maybe after rereading snuff...
Schrödinger-ceasefire: its accepted and rejected at the same time, so no matter what happens Putin is right to kill.
Just a prank, really.
The report confirmed that He had recruited eight couples to participate in his experiment, resulting in two pregnancies, one of which gave birth to the gene- edited twin girls in November 2018. The babies are now under medical supervision. The report further said He had made forged ethical review papers in order to enlist volunteers for the procedure, and had raised his Own funds deliberately evading oversight, and organized a team that included some overseas members to carry out the illegal project.
I guess it's right that there was no experiment in babies, the babies were the experiments themselves.
It would have taken much less time to read about the topic than to make that nonsense response.
Isn't there a bin at the cafe?
What he did was illegal. Even without specific laws about genetic modification or cloning, he did perform experiments with babies without the necessity approvals from ethics and safety, without informed consent from the parents and likely misusing funds allocated to other research.
3 years is still to short.
I've blocked that instance, but if they need more material to ban me I have it.
It was a joke... You don't get to jail for experimenting with slaves in China.
A lot of contexts? Like the development depending on formula vs mother's milk? Experimenting doesn't need to mean vivisection or injecting unregulated drugs, but if you need to do the experiments illegally, I'm not sure it was something "safe"
It might be a bit early for you. It's in a way like Lemmy, somebody has to put it on a server and let you use it.
It's meant for government agencies to deploy and use (although anybody with some self hosting knowledge can do on their servers, including hobbiests and companies)
Is nobody concerned that illegal experiments on babies only gets you 3 years?
Maybe they were Uyghurs so it was classified as "property damage" in Chinese law.
Foss, just deploy and enjoy
One "day". Doesn't need to be a numbered version. It's there same as any other non immutable release in a way. Ubuntu 24.10 is different from one day to another, even with the same version number.
They take a specific version of arch, then add packages/changes selectively.
A little bird told me it's quite a pain that arch updates so fast, because if they want to update package A they need to deal with a dependency hell due to everything having update on the meantime, and switching to Debian was even discussed still around the time OLED was released.
Any way to plug a 3.5 HD as "internal" drive on a small Thinkpad mini?
I have a Thinkpad mini that needs to expand it's disagree storage and have a couple of Red 4Tb with basically no use.
I wanted to plug one of them over USB, but it seems that docker just doesn't like to have volumes on external drives. AFAIK docker starts before the drive is fully mounted, preventing it from doing so. I couldn't find any reliable way to work around this (but I'm open to suggestions!).
I was wondering if it makes sense too just get an extension SATA cable, if they even exist, and have the drive outside the case. One of the worries I have is if it will have enough power (being meant for 2.5 drives originally).
The alternative would be to either change the server itself or to buy a larger 2.5 instead to keep up for a while.
Switch and Deck users, which games do you still prefer to play on switch?
My question is mostly for games available on Steam that you would still prefer to play on Switch. I imagine performance should be better on the deck for native/proton games, but there might be something else I am missing.
