Love Rimworld, have 800+ hours in it.
I love that your goals are your own and you can play how you like.
I've seen more vilages and town rise and fall than I care to mention, many due to my own foolishness XD
Am an IT professional (and also happen to have a degree in politics, i've had a weird life), can confirm.

From your other comments you seem to have a system simmilar to mine. I use mint, and i'm very happy with it, feature rich and ubuntu based, without the features you dislike like snap.
Only real step requirs for gaming has been installing some overclocking and heat management stuff like corecntrl, as well as some 32 bit archetecture stuff to run steam.
Roughly the same age as you with a pal round that age as well. I wouldn't worry about, i certainly don't, you're both adults.
Governments of all stripes have been saying something along the lines of "we'll get it done by halfway through the next decade" for decades, it's only gonna happen when central belt politicians actually decide they give a shit.
For a moment there i was very confused because i thought it was refering to the European Space Agency...
I think they tried to do a lot of interesting things which ultimatly didn't work.
From my understanding that was actually the EU and the UK just fallowed suit because we're dependent on EU supply chains.
My understanding is that there are modules you can install to AD join a linux machine, i don't know much about it unfortunatly because it's not something i've ever had to do. I'm also unclear whether there is a different process per distro type.
I would speak to your company IT about it tbh.
Teenagers have started refer to me as sir and that was it for me 😂
To an extant, once you complete Helgan you can go do what you like
I like Starfield, but there being no way to play it aside from being a member of constelation is an RP killer, plus the lack of a survival mode
Fun fact: humans are actually bioluminescent, however the amount of light produced by our skin is lower than what humans can see!
It's not so much about you as an individual, it's about catalogueing and manipulating trends in our societies that can be used to make profit, for example Meta spends a lot of money and time manipulating election outcomes in favour candidates that will keep their taxes low through manipulating their content algorythm in favour of their desired candidates.
There are plenty of Muslims in Scotland and it's not a problem. Hell even our first Minister is Muslim, you know the guy in the picture.
In general AMD hardware is run better with Linux, because the drivers are open source.
A colleague of mine runs an Arch system that uses an Nvidia GPU and he says it runs largely fine.
Personally i had a nightmare using an Nvidia GPU on my Mint system, but that was in part because the monitor's file that tells a comouter system what it is and what it is capable of was corrupted. Windows is fairly good at adapting to that but Linux not so much.
I've played both and tbh i prefer 3 by a long mile.
It's political system is far more realistic and flexible, and while there are some arguements for the Vic2 economy over 3, i still prefer 3.
I get why people have criticised the warfare system in 3, but lategame it is so much better not having to micromanage 100+ armies.
All games using a proton version higher than 5 are failing to launch
Hi All,
Been bashing my head against this one, rebuild my OS yesterday, running linux mint and reinstalled steam, but can't get anything to run on a proton version higher than 5 - i'm sure i'm missing something but don't know what.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
OS: Linux Mint 21.2 x86_64 Kernel: 6.2.0-31-generic CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 5500/5500M
Rimworld tips and tricks
Thought it would be great to have a wee thread looking at tips and tricks we use when playing the game.
For example, Cactii have the best wood per growth ratio of any farmable tree, making them the most productive forestry.
