  • I forgot to post after my return post but I'm here, I've got all good news, I started a polymer clay jewellery business - I haven't had any sales yet but I'll get there eventually. I'm also really enjoying/experiencing the benefits of ADHD medication, it's wonderful having a clear brain for a good chunk of the day.

  • Hello Friends! I just realised I haven't posted or logged in a much longer period of time than I thought. I hope you're all well! For once I'm not here to vent or complain. Lol.

  • Rowling is still a millionaire, they're still making games and movies based off of her books, that doesn't seem very "cancelled" to me. I'm sure she's doing just fine in her expensive house with her money and transphobia. Sure people are entitled to their opinions but when they use their platform to target vulnerable people they will be called out for it and consumers will make choices about whether to spend their money on things that give them revenue.

  • Found out today that three of my colleagues have Covid and I have mild symptoms that I thought were hayfever, and decided to test and I too have the spicy cough. I'm a bit gutted as it's my mums birthday on Wednesday and we were meant to see my cousin before she flys off to live in Ireland on Saturday. Quite upset tbh but feeling okay overall.

  • Because I use this site in a browser I keep forgetting it exists 😂

  • Hahaha always a scary possibility but also it's because I wear a fresh pair of undies for sleep and then a fresh pair for the next days activities.

  • Daily Discussion Thread: Wed 29 Nov 2023
  • It's because I like to put fresh undies on to sleep and then change them in the morning for the day.

  • Daily Discussion Thread: Wed 29 Nov 2023
  • It's reasonable to pack 6 pairs of undies and 6 pairs of socks for a 3 day(3 night) trip right?!

  • I did the antihistamine and unfortunately didn't work. So I'll have to obtain some calamine lotion instead.

  • I'll give it a good go.

  • This is the only solution I think. Amputation of both legs above the knee. Solves the problem of my sore feet too.

  • Does anyone have any proven methods for stopping mosquito bites from itching? A few of them are now massive and I scratched two of them so hard that I bruised the skin beside them.

All this because I put insect repellent on my arms and neck for my zoo based Christmas party but didn't think about the exposed skin from my ripped jeans and they had a FEAST.

  • Went to the doctor to get my xray results but they haven't been sent yet, so the doctor is going to chase it up and then give me a call. I attempted to ask about what precautions I should take with my elbow if it isn't a fracture but he said he'd be guided by me, but there's that part of me that is inherently stuck in work culture (feels guilty for missing work) and also has a very high pain tolerance that just needs the doctor make some form a call if that makes sense?

  • Daily Discussion Thread: Sun 19 Nov 2023
  • Yeah, there's a small amount of swelling but nothing to write home about, the pain is there.

  • Daily Discussion Thread: Sun 19 Nov 2023
  • Stuck in this weird limbo where I'm really not sure if my arm is fractured or not, some of my symptoms match those of a fracture but the swelling and the bruising aren't there yet. I'd also be naturally relieved if there wasn't a fracture but because I've been taking care of my arm, the idea that it's not there makes me feel like I've been dramatic. It doesn't make sense but it's just me trying to process it all. I also realise if it isn't fractured I still would have to miss some work and that's frustrating, might as well just be fractured to justify the time off. lol.

  • I definitely will, I'm back at the doctor on Monday and will make sure he gets the ball rolling, I ended up booking a different doc at the same clinic because the one I saw on Friday truly didn't seem to grasp my job and how much I need to use my arms and lift and how serious an arm injury could be for me.
