You can't mess with perfection. Chrono Trigger is still amazing.
There was a dos 4x game by logic factory called Ascendency. It was similar to Stellaris but more turn based and has a much more manageable interface. I really enjoyed the game mechanics and game races, which were all very unique. Id love to see it rebooted, but at least I can still play the original on dosbox.
I'm not familiar with dadaist writing. I can't speak for others but I'd like to hear your haiku.

August 1943
Emo-chan wrapped her arm with an ace bandage. She'd underestimated her prey, and now she was on the defensive. Sirens blared across the alley, as she deftly hid from flashlights searching for her. She could hear the regiment commander barking orders. "Finde das magische Mädchen! Der Führer verlangt es!" She was lucky, the rain would mask her scent and keep the dogs at bay, but she wasn't willing to give up her prize - the ultimate trophy. She pulled out her raven wand and began casting a spell. "I call upon the power of emotion! Despondent blade!" A purple glowing magic circle appeared in front of her on the cobblestone street, and a sword of black energy, emminating a bright pink aura emerged from it. She grasped the sword in her good arm and the magic circle crackled and then faded away.
She darted out from the alley and found the nearest soldiers, slicing through them. The blade passed through them, and the men fell to their knees and cried out. Though no injuries were visible, they suffered intense emotional trauma and quickly passed out. Emo chan quickly dispatched the remaining members of the contingent and made her way back to the central administration building. She has lost the element of surprise when her first assault had failed, so she figured she might as well try the direct approach. As she made her way down the hall, she couldn't help but admire the trophies along the hallway. The Cyber dragon in particular was impressive, retaining the semblance of life she so revered in her own works. If only the artist wasn't a Nazi, perhaps she could have taken the time to meet them and discuss thier interests.
She came to the main conference room, where she had first arrived. It was a poor decision in hindsight, appearing in front of the target and assuming the shock would make him an easy mark. She didn't realize he wasn't just her pray, but a fellow game hunter, and time traveler.
"Du Narr! Hast du wirklich geglaubt, du könntest mich besiegen?" Emo-chan turned to see her target, standing across the room, a large gauge rifle in his hand. She chuckled and smiled at him "I don't know what you just said, but let me guess, something along the lines of "I am all powerful! You could never defeat me!" Hitler smirked. "You think you are the first? I have slain many hunters before you. You will soon be another trophy in that hall, part of mein menagerie." She raised her sword in front of her face and began chanting. The sword's aura changed, and a deep green hue began to emanate from it. "Power of emotion - Terror, Awakened!" A pulse of energy began emitting from the blade, creating an enormous pressure wave. Hitler struggled to maintain his stance, as the energy wave pushed on him. The final battle was about to begin.
I'm gonna give him credit for three things of value he's contributed to society.
A. He brought the Fascist out of hiding. Better to know your enemy is at your doorstep than lying in wait.
B. He's made the dictionary much smaller by giving a single definition for so, so many words - narcassist, conman, grifter, selfish, demagogue, fool, sexist, racist, idiot, seditionist, violator, cheater... The list just keeps going. They should all just say "see Trumpism"
C. He's successfully rallied young Americans to be more engaged in voting than any previous generation, ensuring that if we can just get past this hurdle, the future can be bright.
Hope he's saving a seat for Kenneth Copeland.
If the Pentagon didn't think of people like her and MTG as security threats I'd be more upset. Anyone who puts themselves over the good of the nation, any Lobbyist Shill, is a threat, because they are just commodities to be bought and sold and influence legislation.
To be honest, I'm glad these two are so dumb in public. There's no question that they are narcissistic conwomen and everyone can see their colors in plain view. It's the folks who are just as nuts who hide it or lie about their intentions that scare me even more. Kristin Sinema is a great example.
It's not super interesting, but my four year old got freaked out by some cicada nymph shells on their playset the other day. It was an interesting biology lesson. I found out the same day our next brood is coming next year. Joy.
Our government went through a big shift in 2018 after Pritzker got elected. We were in serious trouble, about to be unable to borrow because our credit rating was junk, and had 3 decades of corruption and obstruction to work through. In 6 years were 4+ years of balanced budgets with surpluses, some great legislation changes, our fiscal house is in order, and we got through COVID with strong leadership. The state is very democratic, and while there have been a few unpopular legal changes, the biggest majority, including this, have been really helpful and popular. Higher minimum wages, women's health, diversity support, abortion rights, PTO, etc.
I'm happy to live here.
I guess it depends on the post or comment. If it was something creative I posted, those down votes and criticisms sting,however any support is very helpful. If it was just a comment I made, I would usually shrug it off as "whatever."
I always find massive fan projects like this fascinating. You're putting all the effort it would take to create a brand new game and releasing thousands upon thousands of hours of work with no way to recoup your time or money spent. It's hilariously a true love letter to Bethesda and the world they created while also making them look bad for having not released ES VI in the time it took a homebrew team to completely make an ES game.
It really is a level design thing. Half the challenge of reactionary play in classic 2D sonic games is not being able to see what's coming until the last minute. Looks pretty nice overall. Looking forward to it.
