Need help learning how to read books again
  • I'm surprised to see this happen to so many people. I too read a lot in high school and after college I just couldn't even start a book.

What helped me was reading something really easy that I used to like back when I was younger, like Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, just one or two chapters a day. Sometimes I waste the entire day just reading now.

  • I don't think it ruins the joke nor does it bother me. If it helps people see the joke it's fine. Also it's probably useful for those who have a hard time understanding others, like people with autism.

  • Amazon lost about 44 million hectares to agriculture in 35 years, 86.3% of which became pasture and 13.6% were used for agriculture.

That's almost the size of Sweden. We really should get used to eating less meat. The worst part is it has to be a global change since most of the meat is exported and that's where they get the most profit.

  • Seasoning suggestions for popcorn?

I eat popcorn fairly often and I was wondering if I can improve on the taste with minimal effort. Do you guys know any good mix I could use instead of salt alone?

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman isn’t backing down: our full interview
  • Damn, he really thinks our posts are his. I didn't delete my posts or account for the sake of information and google search but that article changed my mind real quick.

  • Seriously though, my necks hurts all the time now :(
  • That's literally exactly how I'm sitting right now

  • I signed up for lemmy.world because I don't want to write an essay. Shout out to the lazy people.
  • I wrote like 2 lines and got accepted immediately, you don't need to write an essay

  • What are some of your LEAST favorite game mechanics?
  • As long as they're not required for progression. I find it quite boring and just want to get over it already.

  • Is there anything I should know before starting Hollow Knight?
  • Know that you can pogo (attack down on spikes, enemies and mushrooms) and get a little boost up. I didn't know this on my first playthrough which made navigating through the jumping platforms sooo much harder than it should.
