America is in danger of Fascism
  • It's authoritarian tribalism based on nationality. In other words the forced elimination of opposition, because of the belief in one's superiority. And since one's superiority derives from their nationality, it inevitably has to include some traditional values. Any in fighting is just arguing over the meaning of their nationality. I don't understand what people don't understand or how they keep getting it wrong.

  • America is in danger of Fascism
  • Right, and the heroic Soviets also fought to combat the evil that were the Nazis, because they were natural enemies, no other reason no... /s (just in case it wasn't obvious.)

Being a facist doesn't stop you from fighting other fascists, especially when those other fascists are fucking with your shit. The only difference until now was that the two parties managed to deadlock each other needing the support of an uncaring populace to gain total power. Once one ultimately wins, this whole "pillar of democracy" thing is over. Having literally only 2 parties for centuries is a bad omen for democracy.

  • Stay Mad, Tankies
  • Have you read Trump's plan for his next turn? The fucker wants to go through with hefty important taxes on EVERYTHING (that's essentially putting sanctions on the US lol). Cheap groceries aren't a good prediction for a Trump term. I'd suggest listening to what he's saying. There's more that makes me think that cheap things aren't around the corner, the fucker has many things he wants to spend for, without any plans for increasing the budget.

  • Stay Mad, Tankies
  • I agree that it is heartbreaking that the democrats keep pushing candidates no one wants. But no amount of incompetence is a reason to give fascism a try. I don't live in America, but considering they run this joint, I'd hate for it to become a shitier Russia.

Biden is definitely not fit to do anything him self, but he's surrounded by good advisers and he actually fucking listens to them. Under his term not nearly as many horrific things happened as under trump. Trump's an immediate menace to the world order as we know it. I find it really ironic how he claims to be pro American, but actively destroys the reasons people look up to America and let it have so much influence in the first place.

  • Nate Silver: Joe Biden should drop out
  • It's already a disaster. It's been a disaster since last election. Anti opposition votes can only get you so far, before people start to feel indifferent, since their voices clearly don't matter in the slightest.

  • Hiiiiiii!
  • The why do they immediately run away upon realizing a human is near by? Like I'm talking about strays here, they only gather outside my widow when there's no one around and I'm quite in my room.

  • Nuclear isn't perfect, but it is the best we have right now.
  • Nothing generates more than nuclear (like it's not even comparable), it has basically zero emissions and there are countries like Finland who'll happily let you burry it there, tho you ofc don't need to go that far away. You don't need to dispose it nearly as often as coal ash, so it being in another country ain't really that big of a deal.

Ofc solar is also a great option, because of the versatility, sadly German seems to really fucking love wind.

  • Nuclear isn't perfect, but it is the best we have right now.
  • Oh thank god... Apparently they aren't destroying it YET. There is hope. Personally, I'd feel a lot safer if it went into more nuclear loving hands, like the French or Czech, actually, most of Germany's neighbors would do.

  • Nuclear isn't perfect, but it is the best we have right now.
  • Looks like I'm a bit behind on the latest news, I mean in 2015 it (basically) alone was still half of their energy production. That's quite the explosion, too bad it's largely wind power and...biomass??? Right it's "renewable©® (in theory)", not "sustainable right now or benefitial to the current situation". Same to the natural gass growth, guess it's better than coal, but come on... And to my original point, in your graph we can see a negative corelation between coal+lignite over nuclear at a few ranges (when they shut down nuclear over fucking coal), roughly starting after 2005. Also wow, they actually fucking killed nuclear last year... JESUS...

  • Hiiiiiii!
  • Why does this keep appearing? Cats most definitely do communicate by meowing too. I'd really love it if our village cats didn't chose the street out my widow a midnight as their debate grounds, shit's loud af and I always have to climb out the window to break up the fight.

  • This pisses me off so much
  • Honestly, I despise the feeling of recognizing an actor. All I can think about in that moment is the other movie's character and it just breaks immersion while confusing my little ape brain.

Also they do the same in drawn media too. The anime adaptation for example features 0 helmets.

  • This pisses me off so much
  • I honestly don't get it. Recently read a manga and they ACTUALLY WORE THEIR BLOODY HELMETS DURING BATTLE! It was glorious! Occasional a stray bullet destroys the helmet sadly...but for a large chunk of it all, they actually fucking wear them! You could still tell who is who by body proportions, dialog and context so that wasn't really an issue. Also it's hella dramatic to take off the helmet after battle or when trying to negotiate with someone. It just makes soo much more sense!

  • Meat is expensive.

No but like seriously, why are vegan and vegetarian options always MORE expensive at restaurants. Whenever I cook my self, the meat is BY FAR the most expensive part of any meal. Meanwhile stuff like soy strips are DIRT CHEAP, not to mention they last basically forever!

The canteen I go to for lunch actually sells the meatless meals for 2/3 of the price, always a taunting reminder. Like hell yea, that's how ya convert me!
