Concerning news
  • WTF... Translating news stories which parent and child can discuss honestly (and if not... Well, discuss them honestly. That's the point of the post) into issues to be separate on... Is, well, just the point we are all trying to avoid.

I hope you can discuss points like this open and honestly. (Yes, even killing and death. The deaths are less important than the communication about them you are forging.)

  • Whats a current obstacle or challenge in your life you'd like to share and have people brainstorm for solutions?
  • Just something to keep in mind. If someone is a dick to you, abusive or ruthless, or just hurtful... 90% of the time, it's not you. It's them. There is something broken in them that makes them mean, and needing to hurt. They are malfunctioning.

The last 10% of the time... Own it and work hard to fix it...

But hurtful people hurt, not because of you, but because they are damaged and want to hurt people, and that's wrong.

  • What is your favorite inconsequential fan theory?
  • And, tbh, in the first movie (ANH), Han surprised and flies up behind Darth Vader, the Dark Jedi lord and best pilot flying a military TIE fighter, in the Falcon, essentially a souped up semi truck of a space ship. He then proceeds to shoot his ass out of the sky, the Force be damned.

Is it just me or is there something more going on here. That ship has some deep seated, Knight Rider, Herbie the Love Bug, strange magic going on.

Han and Chewie are good... But just maybe the Falcon is gooder.

  • I think Linus has it figured out

What was something you learned too late in life?
  • When someone is abusive or hurtful to you, 90% of the time it's not your fault. It's that there is something wrong or something broken in them. They are malfunctioning and it's necessary to understand that.

The other 10%.... Well, own that and fix your mistake.

But a very large majority of the time, it's them being broken and wrong.

1980-Teen Farce Comedy. Watched it tonight. It was... meh.

Anyone remember this gem? It was pure 80's. Thoughts? Opinions?
