To what extent do you think political violence can be justified? From a purely strategic perspective, do you believe tactics like the anarchist 'propaganda of the deed' are effective?
  • Social violence is still violence. The ruling class tries its best to blur the lines and make it seem okay because it’s legal. But in many cases social violence is even more deadly than regular violence. Most people understand that, which is why the ruling class needs a strong police state in order to feel safe.

  • Lemm.ee Conservative Community has had an Elon Nazi salute post up for two days now.
  • ‘Don’t care’ often means that they don’t want to acknowledge our existence and thus block measures that make our existence possible like trans healthcare or anti discrimination laws. Effectively it’s the same as being anti-trans.

  • Zelensky's power depends on war, not peace
  • Zelensky is deeply unpopular among Ukrainians and if the war ends it will become clear that Zelensky basically sold off all public sectors to private investors from the US. Ukraine has been sucked dry, beaten to shit and lost most of its men. It will take a long time to recover if they’re even allowed to.

  • Liberals
  • Directing the attention towards the voters instead of the democratic party is a deliberate tactic to create division among the working class. The democratic party has way more power than your neighbour who didn’t vote. Getting angry at your neighbour will only alienate them further. It’s a waste of energy.

  • What keeps Americans from being mad about the state of their country?
  • A strike takes a lot of preparation, most of which is unionising and convincing your coworkers to join the strike when it’s time. A strike at a workplace is only successful if 75% of workers join in on it. Some US unions are ready for it, but a lot aren’t. If you want to contribute, join a union or start unionising. Resistance is built from the bottom up and strong unions are the most effective method.

  • It does feel lonely on fedi as trans guy
  • Yes it’s strange. Irl I know mostly transmasc people but every online space I’ve visited is ‘dominated’ by transfem people. I’m happy they’re here but I do wish there were more transmasc people as well. I have similar aversions to tech but I like politics which is why I like lemmy.
