Anyone who thinks nothing would get done in a moneyless society has never met modders. Absolutely excelllent work from the whole team. Only sad that I couldn't get involved early on. Still, maybe there is some small way to help now?
Very nice! Also, did not realise 'til just now that Skywind was on Lemmy. Fedi sites FTW <3
I hardly think a post by some random (me) is "raising the god of the apocalypse". But that's sweet of you to say <3
And you are correct that there are significant other issues, with known effects, that need to be addressed as well.
As I understand it, and that understanding could be flawed, burning up a lot of satellites containing a lot of substances not usually found in our upper atmosphere may have consequences. No-one has done the due diligence to know whether this is the case or not. Or if these consequences would be significant for us.
Also, "re-entered" might not mean burning up fully.
That's an excellent question. Also, does any of it need to make it to the ground to do harm to our atmosphere? Needs more research. Prof. Lawler has a whole thing on it: https://mastodon.online/@[email protected]/112768381105263805
Jam! Hope to have enough fruit to make jam in the coming years. Only planted some bushes a few months ago, and they are still very small. Enjoying having a space to grow stuff in this year (we moved). All be it small.
New Phobia Just Dropped... "Dropped" D:
Screenshot of social media post. Reads, "Everyone was saying that the May geomag activity had no impact on the satellites. Of course we knew this was wrong. Over one hundred sats re-entered during this period and now a paper is showing that thousands of Starlinks had to move. Holy fuck. Imagine if those thousands had to re-enter. This. Is. Insane. We. Must. Stop. Launching. Shit. NOW. https://spaceweather.com"

I wasn't even aware there was an Android version of FreeTube. It's just what I use on the PC usually.
I saw a comment somewhere that apps using Invidious as a fallback were often still working. Have observed this to be the case for FreeTube on desktop. Though it's still hit and miss which videos want to play for some reason.

Someone over on Mastodon pointed me at an alternative search engine/aggregator. Thoughts? https://searxng.world/

I didn't actually get any Star Trek games until I was older. Have since enjoyed a few including Star Trek: Armada II, and Voyager: Elite Force. Have also had fun watching a playthrough of Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity.
Changes to the schedule can be viewed at the following community-made website. For instance, today's Hat Films music stream has been replaced by one from @[email protected] . Due to ill health.

I like the idea of having an app where I can have video services in one place. Having some issues with GrayJay, but it says "Under Construction" so I guess that's to be expected. Is anyone else planning similar apps? I know there are ones specifically for YouTube but this is the first I'm aware of that is trying to include more.
They keep taking money out of people's pockets then wondering why everyone is asking for more and not buying their stuff as much.
And then doubling down on the whole damned thing.
