Damn. Fire Upon the Deep was incredible. So long VV…
Yup - people like this is a reason why we can’t have nice things for long.
That looks straight out of Fallout.
I recall a movie where some kids were menacing another kid with a bullet braced in a vice while they were waving a hammer over a nail placed opposite the business end of the cartridge. Life, uh, finds a way?
Depending on your situation, you may be able to use a quick connect kit which can be pretty easy. But yes, the drain assembly needs some care - especially if you need to cut finished pipe to length for, say, a cast iron standing tub. Its not too different from a sink drain assembly if you’ve done that before.
The biggest issue I’ve seen is hastiness - if you take the time to learn each step well and can keep yourself from rushing, then it can be fine.
It’s the ones that try to do it over the weekend because their wife is yelling at them about it that get into trouble.
Shine on, you crazy diamond!
I only keep chrome around for persnickety sites that have a hard time with FF - still slightly better than using Edge.
I use these - not sweet: https://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature-fast-acting-lactase,-180-caplets.product.100096414.html
Also: I started with double the dose, fyi.
Why not just say you want an easy life without complications?
What happens if tech becomes extremely easy to use and simplifies the annoying parts of life, letting you eat more bananas per day - still a no?
… and that’s how America brought back slavery: volunteers.
Be a real shame if the citizens of Colorado outlawed political contributions from corporations - yup; real unfortunate.
Buy & fly a plane or jet points?
I really dislike commercial flying, and would like another option.
I've been investigating jet point clubs and it seems like it comes out to around $8-10k an hour (depending on distance, place size, etc.). I've also been looking into buying and flying my own (non-jet) plane.
Jet points would mean a nicer flight with no work on my end, but private flying would mean more options / freedom / etc.
In terms of cost, I was thinking around $300k for a reasonable starter plane that I could use for a few years.
Has anyone done a similar sort of analysis? I'd be curious to hear about your experiences.
Thanks.
It's typical if you're in the draw-down phase: better to spend the dividends than to sell (more) equities.
