I doubt most people even have a soundbar...
Same. I can't watch English movies on a TV because I just don't understand it... But then with headphones on everything is perfect.
The irony of this post is that you deserve to be blocked, for spamming this in irrelevant communities...
Tell that to the democratic party that is insisting on putting up a senile old man as their candidate...
But what about Fortnite and Valorant?
Maybe if you are really attractive or a woman...
No I really enjoy it being dark at 4pm. /s
so you would have 1 weird guy reply after a few hours while 10000 other people just watched...
Are you starving and homeless despite not being able to provide for yourself? If no, society somehow helped.
I wouldn't really mind a smaller pool of videos, if it's guaranteed to have a standard of quality.
I'd even pay for YouTube if they offered such a service, where they curate their creators. E.g. I sometimes like to watch repair channels where someone tinkers with something. I have a handful of channels that I like for that... but what if there are many more that I just can't find?
First reddit didn't go down, despite having an user base which had some kind of a brain.
While YouTube has everyone as users. Even like the most normie, boomer, zoomer users that think YouTube is the internet. No way they are going to switch for ideological reasons, unless the app just stops working.
In my experience they seem to do, at least at their workplace. I've never heard a man complain about their coworkers in some mean way... But most women I know do actively complain about them...
Yeah I thought he was at a completely different TVA in a different timeline where Kang was more evil. But no he was just in the past, and now he's back.
Fortnite and Valorant don't work on Linux.
In Switzerland real estate generates a virtual rent that you need to pay income taxes on.
E.g. even if you buy a house for yourself, the money that you save by not having to pay rent is calculated as extra income.
Also availability. Nowadays you can buy stocks for free on your phone... 20 years ago you had to physically go to your bank, pay extremely high fees, and probably get scammed into buying some expensive fund because you didn't have the possibility to easily research stuff on your own...
I used and liked it for a few years, but now they started filling it with bloat ware again... switched to Firefox last month.
I sadly have to make another one of those posts... Should we defederate from Hexbear?
Since the federation the comment sections got so inflammatory. Literally everything gets turned into some political "capitalism bad" or "the west bad" discussion. It made Lemmy very annoying for me to use....
"Show context" for comment not working
Am I the only one where the "Show context" button doesn't do anything, when I look at a reply to one of my comments?
It works in Apps, but not when using the normal website.
Why is lemmygrad not a banned instance anymore?
I remember when I joined here that tchncs did not federate with Lemmygrad. Is there a reason why it is now? I don't think it's a good instance, since it full of (roleplaying) communists hating on the western world... and I wouldn't want that shit in my "All" feed. Thank you.
Not Electronics related: Banner and logo of this community?
Is there a reason why the banner and logo of this community are just the reddit logo?
To be honest that doesn't seem very appropriate, nor is it very pretty.
Petition: Defederate from exploding-heads.com
As far as I see that instance is a far-right cess pool. Everything I've got from that instance were low-quality transphobic "news articles".
What's the proper way to create a link to a community?
One annoying thing I noticed on Lemmy is that is someone mentions a Community and links to it, that link usually just opens up the "home" instance of that community. While I actually wanted to see it on my instance so I can join it an participate. What is the proper way to do it? Or is there some browser plugin that makes that easier?
