The starting line really puts me off. I don't really care much about the tech content but find their videos entertaining.
I have un-subscribed from all their channels and will see how much this video is addressed in the next WAN before I decide if to continue to watch their content at all going forward.
Huh, I thought it was just doing url based blocking and not hooking into the UI side, will have to take a look. Kinda treat browser plug-ins as a set and forget it thing.
Valve has been amazing for linux long before the Steam Deck. They have been putting in a huge amount of work and support for Linux when they launched the ill fated Steam Machines. Back when MS was looking to force 3rd party stores out of the Windows ecosystem.
Is there an extension for hiding the annoying attempts of reddit web app trying to get you to install their app, then login through Google? Still find myself there when it's from a Google search.
Well put. I think there was permanent damage done to user's trust, but don't see many of the smaller subreddit communities migrating away yet.
I worry that Lemmy is even more an echo chamber with a handful of default communities, I hope it grows to the point where I don't feel obligated to join the popular communities so there is actual content to scroll through.
NGL, the text order is backwards and it's kinda bothering me.
