Yes, I started off with Pop! As my first distro back when I started to use Linux. TBH you can't really go wrong with Pop! Or Mint as your first choice.

I second this. I always get either UGreen or Basesus as a choice for cheap but reliable cables.

This happened in Singapore earlier this year too. A friend of mine was affected. HR pretty much just sent out an email and told them to pack their shit and go home.
