Aside from that the worst you can count on is snow and ice storms. But at least property damage is usually low, just gaps without power in some areas. Frozen pipes are more preventable, but also more likely to cause significant damage. We do technically get some little earthquakes. And I think once a year or so tornados do happen, but the last time I remember one causing real damage I was in high-school. We actually were going to an event in Colorado and we flew over the storm system that would result in the tornado. That was like.... God around 20 years ago T_T
This isn't strictly true. Even with the same beam pattern, LEDs will inherently have more glare. This is due to a combination of the physics of how LEDs project light in a more directed beam than more uniform halogens, and because they produce a cooler light that our brains interpret as brighter even at the same intensity as a warmer light. But yeah, the height issue has been a problem for a long time, even before LEDs were in use, LEDs have simply exasperated the problem there. And while mismounting them will lead to issues, upgrades are still a relatively small portion of headlights compared to factory ones.

I mean, if you're going to attempt to kill with a bite, I'd assume they're going for the neck or other particularly vulnerable place. I'd argue commoner bite attacks should have very low chance to hit, but could plausibly be lethal. Most places they get a good bite won't be able to do any damage, except maybe cause a Con save for disease.... I'd say an improvised attack with Disadvantage for 1d6 damage probably works pretty well.

I suspect you're right. But there really is never a good way to tell with these kinds of experimental techs. It could be a runaway chain of improvement. Or it is probably even odds that there is a visible and clear decline before it peters out, or just suddenly slams into a beick wall with no warning.

They were interested in 8472 for exactly that reason IIRC. And it's not like it is a hassle to add the implants, they have all kinds of nanite delivery systems. If the eggs were produced from an assimilated source then they would presumably already be implanted before being laid. But it wouldn't be surprising to see them produce some kind of industrial hatchery that automatically implanted them if they had to come from unassimilated hosts for whatever reason.

This is also true. Poisonous doesn't specifically mean "dangerous when eaten" when talking about the substance. It is an insanely broad category. It basically just means the substance is harmful.
Sapient, not sentient. Sci-fi has co-opted the word, but sentient basically means able to feel emotions. There are plenty of sentient species right here at home. Sapient is the word sci-fi usually wants, there are no known sapient species aside from humans. Though some may argue that a couple other animals may qualify, it's a very fuzzy concept that is hard to identify with a being unable to communicate abstract concepts.
Ah, but we can go even further beyond in pedantry. This distinction is only exclusive when we're talking about a living thing. When talking about the substances themselves, one is a subcategory of the other. A venomous snake is not poisonous, but a venomous venom is a poisonous poison.
