Russian Supreme Court bans "LGBTQ+ movement"; cops begin raids on gay bars
Russian security forces have raided gay clubs and bars across Moscow less than 48 hours after the country’s top court banned what it called the “global LGBTQ+ movement” as an extremist organization
Jeez, this makes my gut ache.
Is civilization just a temporary thing, unraveling everywhere all at once?
Picking on an easy target because losing in the big war.
My guess is that these newly arrested innocent men will be given the choice of prison or going to die in the meat grinder at russian front in Ukraine.

I have two pieces of bad news for you.
- Even a cursory reading of history says that civilization is a temporary thing, largely because they tear themselves apart from their own inner contradictions.
- When civilizations unravel it is usually with stunning speed, and while in some cases it's replaced with something approximately similar (c.f. Chinese dynasty changes), in most cases it is replaced by barbarism that can last for a very long time before the next attempt at civilization is made. (Which in the end also fails.)
Reminder that 10 years ago Russia passed a law banning LGBT representation in books in order to "protect children".
Just some food for thought for Americans who support similar laws here. (Looking at you Florida)
