EU lawmakers agree to restore 20% of the EUs land and sea ecosystems by 2030 and all in need of restoration by 2050

Negotiators from EU countries and the European Parliament agreed on a landmark new law late on Thursday (9 November) to restore at least 20% of Europe’s land and sea areas by 2030 and all ecosystems in need of restoration by 2050.
