It's been a hard-fought effort but Wellington's Miramar Peninsula is predator-free - having eradicated the last of the ship rats.

This is amazing! Is the plan to draw another line and try to extend it? Though I guess it's much harder without an isthmus to act as a sort of gate.
Edit: Oh I missed this on my first read, the answer is yes, draw a new line and try to extend it out:
Predator Free Wellington has already moved onto phase two - Island Bay to the CBD.
