Hard to score when you get no calls and every nitpicking decision goes against you - but yeah, it's very worrying that teams seem to have figured out exactly how to stop us from playing the way we want.
I think this is the point. We need to be more free on the pitch. Newcastle are good, we need to be better. Why is Havertz? I think the manager needs to find the answer to that.
When teams like Newcastle come in and are going to get all the VAR decisions because of their owners, it makes me want to go find something else to do besides watch this league.
In the back of my mind football has already been taken over by the gulf countries, it's become such a low priority interest st this point because of that.
Look Arsenal played terrible today. Barely any shots on goal. There is nothing to be proud about it. They need to regroup and put in some goals in UCL. The two things I'm livid about are Bruno G. and Livramento not being sent off. The former being the biggest travesty of them all. I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this, but the goal should stand. Both the ball being out and the offside were not definitive. As a team, you can't let your sloppy play hang on a referee's decision. It was a boneheaded punch out attempt by Raya and not closing out on the crosser is unacceptable. Arsenal did not play at a champions' level and the refs let Newcastle get away with a lot, especially allowing Bruno to stay on the field.
This is important. Why did we ball watch a ball that was not out (based on play on.) We turned off and let them create a situation that Var had to manage. if you're only defense is Var, then your defense was poor.
