the monitor that my ex gifted to me suddenly died today. like it just won't light up no matter what troubleshooting i did... just like our relation-- oops haha di tayo iiyak dahil double pay ngayon, we work hard despite the challenges, haha! good morning!:D
Yeah the experience on 3rd party apps is better. This is what Reddit fucked up with their API changes. Can't help but to interject "fuck Spez" here yet again. I'm currently using thunder and it fits what I'm looking for in a lemmy client the most.
I was thinking of waiting for a while before I go around and give 3rd party apps a good try. But then again, this Lemmy.world vs. Jerboa problem has forced me to accelerate the timeline, sort of.
I kinda like Jerboa's aesthetic too. It's simple and clean. And though some of the UX feels a bit clunky, it's similar enough to Fedilab that I didn't really mind it much.
It's basically how interacting with comments via Connect that really had me adjusting, lol! Other than that, there's really not much to get used to.
I might give Thunder and others a try too. Ang focus ko kasi kagabi is to just have something I can use for mobile, and my fingers are a bit too clumsy to use the mobile site (through a mobile browser).
This is what Reddit fucked up with their API changes.
And yeah. Lemmy's app landscape is already surprisingly varied especially given that it's just barely a month since it's got enough users to really warrant a handful of 3rd party apps.
I presume you're still on v 0.0.34, but you can check that by going to Jerboa settings, then clicking "About".
Also, don't be like me who updated--even though I am aware of the possible issues--just because di ko napigilan mag-miron. Lol!
As far as I know, so long as you stay logged in (and stay with your current version, and basically don't do anything like deleting app data), you're safe--at least for the time being.
I've been hesitating to say this, but RD image looked like the intro for some "very late night exotic and niche video." Or maybe it's just my dirty mind.
Almost close. The correct term is midnight movie. Mostly applies to screenings of cult films that don't fit in a mainstream cinema or seedy porn theater.
Whenever I watch videos on deep sea creatures I feel a bit creeped out...and also fascinated. Imagine being alone in the deep sea and suddenly you're faced with a 24 ft shark out of nowhere. I'm so tiny in this world~ Whoa
Makahanap nga ng deep sea horror manga/book. Or maybe something similar to A Space Odyssey pero deep sea version ganun hehehe.
Reading Lost Connections made me lose trust on FDA, Watching You Don't Know Nicotine made me lose trust on WHO, I dunno but the more I delve deeper into Health Science the more I divert to popular opinions, am I getting insane or the world is?, is my beliefs an opinion or a prejudice?, am I overeducated or semiliterate?
You're like some people distrusting Google and other big tech companies but still using their products. It's okay to have some paranoia after you read some "revelations," and it wears out over time. I was like this a few years ago, but then realized that life "is too sophisticated."
I'm not keen or care of anything what happen to the world anymore like I used to. The Election 2022 was my boiling point. It is a waste of time and energy.
As in makikita mo -1 comment.
I like the utilitarian purpose of it... kasi pag accidentally mo nadelete post, you could easily restore it. Happened to me a couple of times already, lol.
I don't know kung medyo dinosaur ako but the last time I used Google Maps, parang calibrated yung directions nya for motorcycle kahit na naka car setting.
Edit2: I am sorry fellow Connect users. Legit na dinosaur ako dahil hindi ko maformat yung link to work with the app 😖
Edit3: I made it work! Yey! I had to access lemmy world sa browser, copy that link instead of using yung link generated ng [Copy Permalink] feature ng Connect app. Though the reason maybe is non-lemmy.world ata yung source ng post. For those curious, eto yung original link: https://feddit.it/post/511442
I'm much more comfortable with Waze than Google Maps. Kahit na dinala kami ng Waze before on a one way dead-end that made maneuvering out impossible, haha.
Same. I'm trying to check kung may "Vehicle Details" equivalent sa Maps where you can add the last digit of your plate number and toll pass owned. Either super hidden or baka wala pa.
We had a (mis)adventure with Waze din na dinala kame sa isang street na may ginaganap na liga ng basketball. Super awkward kasi sya lang talaga yung way out, they had to stop the game and glared at us the whole time. Fun times.
I'm not a fan of how the main page looks in the latest Lemmy version, specifically portions of the body showing up. I caught a glimpse of it earlier when lemmy.world did a brief update before the rollback.
I disagree, this could be abused lol, I've known a person na niresetahan siya ng anti-depressant and it's only good for 2 weeks, but extended to another 2 weeks kasi dinoktor ng mama niya yung reseta, its only 2 weeks extended lol pero pano kung may long term effect pala yun tas di na bumalik sa psychiatrist lol parang joke ang nangyari kahit pinapabalik para i reassess kung kailangan pa ng gamot o iibahin ang gamot o patitigilin na ang gamot
I'm straight-edge so normally I'd agree with you, lol. But I'm ambivalent towards marijuana legalization. If the argument is because some people need it, then it's a flawed one because medical marijuana is already legal for decades now. What they need to do is make it known, cheaper, and accessible.
I have a mild form of neuropathy which I assume would worsen in due time, and apparently CBD oil (which doesn't count) could alleviate some of those symptoms. Would be nice to have that in your backpocket should worse come to worse.
