What are the staple femboy accessories/equipment?

I want to order knee socks for the first time ever and was wondering what else to get. >////<

I tried wearing a choker, but I get allergic reaction or at least really bad skin reaction to them.

  • a gun. a very feminine gun.

  • I think the classic is skirt and crop top

    Elbow length gloves

    Oversized hoodies

    Short shorts

    Feminine/androgynous shoes and boots

I think it's going to particularly depend on what you want to do. A single cheap outfit? Then probably just a socks, skirt, and a top. Fill out a wardrobe? Head over to the women's section at a thrift store and grab some cute things.

    • I'm looking for something to go with the knee socks. I don't think I'm anywhere near going out in fem-fem wardrobe, even though I'm swapping to wearing leggings only out. I have a crop top, but don't feel good in it tbh. I feel like a tomboy of femboys, if that makes sense. I wanted to get short-shorts, but I have trouble finding ones which look not cheap and are actually short-short. :( I also tried looking into a skirt, but they all either seem super short or way too long. I wish I didn't experience violence based on my femininity so I could just go out fem. >////<

      • Skirts can be hard at times. They come in all kind of lengths. The major ones are mini, above knee; midi, below knee; and maxi, ankle length. And to make things harder, they aren't always consistent even within a brand. I don't know what skirts you've tried but I like the midi length the most.

I don't consider myself a femboy, trans-androgynous might be the best label at the moment, so I don't know how well my styles will overlap but here are some things.

I haven't done any super short shorts but I loved shorts like these over the summer.

V-neck shirts can be very flexible. They aren't strongly gendered on their own and can easily flex back and forth. I got this one recently.

      • If you wanna wear leggings out, you need to pair them with skirts, tunic tops, oversized hoodies, shirt dresses. Big on top, small on the bottom. OR small on top, big on the bottom.

I feel like kind of a tomboy transfem. I wear high waisted jeans, or overalls. Pair it with a denim or canvas jacket. Making it more feminine, when desired, is now focused around my makeup and accessories. This more of a traditional queer look, there's also an athletic tomboy style out there, and that's just not what I'm like.

Oh and sweetie, your safety is the most important thing. Carry pepper spray. Be with friends when you dress like this. Don't stay in dangerous situations.

  • Just saw Nano Nano's 6 minute video about looking feminine. Fitted scoop neck T-shirt, often in black is my #1 take away.

Did you wash the choker? I wipe down everything that touches my body, everything new is covered in so many nasty chemicals.

The high-waisted mini skirt is also a great staple.

Oh yeah the long-sleeve crop top, or crop-top t-shirt with arm warmers.

I like Goody's colorful little metal hair clips, they look great in short hair.

  • Update: went with rainbow trim over-knee socks, found a wider choker, hoping less skin contact will mean it won't anger the skin gods, super skimpy shorts and a less-masc jockstrap. Looking forward to it. I need to buy a sweater as it's getting cold, but Amazon isn't my go-to for shopping, I just needed the socks tbh.
