This is surreal. I'm so jaded I can't let myself enjoy it haha.
It's nice to start the season this way, still 81 games to go. Can't get too excited ;) although it's super nice to thrash the Oilers. Guess we see how Saturday goes when they have home ice.
We shouldn't be surprised, starting the season well is par for the course at this point. We'll do well until the new year, then tank until second last place, then go on a hot streak to finish the season 1 point out of a playoff spot.
It's our lot in life.
We went 2-6-2 to start last season and didn't get our first win until game 8. 4-5-1 the year before that. Would be nice to be above .500 for our first 10 this year.
