Cats usually don't attack them actually, they are just curious. It's cute.

  There's a kids cartoon called Ladybug and Cat Noir
Brown might be asian lady beetle. poke it a bit and if it oozes something KILL.

  asian lady beetles ooze out a toxic substance when threatened. actual lady bugs do not.
