I saw this in the local news and I'm sharing this here because their GoFundMe does not seem to be getting a lot of donations and is well short of their goal. I have no personal affiliation with these people aside from the fact that I live in the same town they are operating in and I like to see positive things happening.
Not surprising. Times are tough all around, those who had to give have less to give, and those who didn't are in need more than ever. That said, we've got to help where we can, even if it's not all that much.
it's unfortunate that there are so many homeless people in the Okanagan. it feels like we could use more infrastructure to help support these people. but who can afford to pay more taxes to do so? living here is expensive enough.
