No comics list for last week?
ComicList: New Comic Book Releases List for Wednesday, September 13, 2023, a list of the comic books that should be available next week.
A little late, but I didn't want to step on any toes. What'd you guys pick up?
I only got Creepshow Vol. 2 Issue #1 this week myself. Picked up some back issues though.
Finally getting around to looking at the list, here are some notables:
Alligator Loki #1 - Digital series in physical print, fun "read" (barely any dialog like "It's Jeff!")
Coda #1 - Sequel to a 2018 high fantasy series of the same name.
Cull #2 - Kelly Thompson's new book. Good artwork!
Danger Street #9 - I'm really just buying this hoping that by #12 it will somehow make sense and be mindblowing.
From The World Of Minor Threats The Alternates #1 - Written by Patton Oswalt? May be worth a look.
Green Lantern #3 - Glad to see it back after that nighmare side trip.
Madness #2 - 2nd issue of Straczynski's new book. Creator of Babylon 5, had a super good run on Spider-Man.
Penguin Classics Marvel Collection - Penguin is doing super high quality collections of early Marvel, ensconcing them in the Western Canon. Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men are all out this month, joining the previous releases of Black Panther, Captain America, and Spider-Man. Paperback and hardcover editions.
Saint John #1 - Cheating here since this is a book about a Portland superhero and I live in Portland. :) Bonus variant cover by Matt Wagner. The Portland in this book hasn't existed for at least 10 years.
Superman Lost #6 - Still one of the better Supes books.
World’s Finest Teen Titans #3 - Kind of weird having 3 Titans books running at once, but I'll take it!

Children Of The Vault #2
X-Force #44Really looking forward to reading the new Coda! The art is amazing 🤩
I am also enjoying Superman Lost. Did anyone else pick up Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham?
I'll have to check out Coda, Cull, and Patton Oswalts if they still have them at my shops!
Update nobody asked for: Wasn't doing much so I went to the shop, got Coda and The Alternates, I'll have to subscribe to them next time I'm in, they're great!
I should say too, I've been picking up the hardcover editions of the Penguin Classics stuff and they are on point, not just classy gilt edge reprints, but also with academic essays, elevating the art form to a professional collegiate level.

At $30 to $45 a pop on Amazon though, they aren't for every budget. :(
Paperbacks are $18 to $28. Which isn't bad when you consider the originals of these books would set you back tens of thousands of dollars and wouldn't look this crisp and clean.
