Anyway, there are thousands of refugees getting drowned every day and they don't pay $250K to kill themselves and their kids in a sub made by a guy who thinks safety is stupid.
This is getting way more attention than it deserves indeed. Random guys made a terrible decision and died. Aside from one being a billionaire, one his hesitant son and the way they died being quite unique, this is hardly worth more than one news segment.
I don't even know who that guy was or why I should care. Way more people probably died while I was writing this.
Video #1 looks like an awful way to go - I thought I'd read somewhere that it would be somewhat instant and the meat man suit looked far longer than instant.
This was a controlled depressurization (they used a release valve and let the pressure creep in). This shows what the pressure can do over time. Now image that be happening instant because the structure holding back the pressure failed all at once.
Well yeah, the entire implosion takes a little longer than an instant; but the death itself would be fractions of a second. The "body" in that suit was dead long before the blood started falling out its head.
