Yazidis are Kurdish speakers who mostly believe in Yazidism, a monoteistic religion. This is probably where "aiding and abetting genocide" fits into this. It's not just slavery, but subjugation of members of a minority group by a racist hate group. It's the difference between a psycho holding a woman captive and a nazi enslaving a Jew. Both horrific, but one has larger implications.
