I'm Indian. I'm the techy friend - I build PCs and daily drive Linux and do tech support (not as a job)

In my experience, every single person who has expressed interest in Linux has either mentioned the words 'hacking' or 'Kali' in the first sentence.
I remember subbing to r/KaliLinux to read posts by hackerman kiddies trying to figure out Linux.

Comes off as a meme but when I look at Youtube and search for Linux almost every top video beyond the handful of general Linux channels (eg. DistroTube) are all Kali Linux tutorials.
I got my cousin in to Parrot OS , because of that.
