What's the point of having a shove if you don't use it to it's upmost potential?
Nothing gets me excited in this game like sneaking up behind some asshole standing on the ledge of a cliff, or a roof, or whatever and just putting my shoulder into them.
The fact it's a bonus action instead of an action is pretty stupid though. Sometimes its the best choice you have, but there's also no reason to not take it and an attack. In D&D normally you have to make a choice between it or an an attack.
