Ants should replace weather forecasters
Said it wasn’t going to rain today, the line of ants I saw scurrying about yesterday said otherwise. Ants were right.

I learned to trust the birds for rain forecasts. Not only will they all land a few minutes before the rain starts, but some species have unique calls for when it’s going to rain.
The catbirds who live in my rhododendron make this beautiful call that sounds like drops falling into water before it rains.

Ants? How do they work?
3 0 ReplyIt's literally life or death for the ants, so the solution is obvious. Incorrect weather predictions are now a capital crime.

I trust the trees. When it's going to rain their leaves flip over and take on a silvery appearance because you can see their underside.
