Canadians are already pissed that Canada barely has any industry of its own left because it all has to be absorbed by the bigger US industries to survive.

This is probably one of musk's asks, Edison motors is going to embarrass Tesla in the semi and light truck markets.
Edison is not going to embarrass anyone, they aren't even a blip on the radar. Their total production capacity is like 4 vehicles a year, and it's not likely to go up very fast unless someone else buys them out.
