Something is just not quite landing for me with this one. It feels like the knock off version of a better anime. I think maybe it is just trying too hard sort of like when someone tells a joke then keeps repeating the punchline hoping for more laughs but all that does is ruin the joke. Hopefully it will improve as the situation gets established and new characters show up. 2/5 for now.
''I fight with you while you provide for me?" Well, at least Shizuri is honest about her lazy side. It's quite funny, a bit exaggerated, and Ayane is really... a thing😅 . It's the kind of series that's light and funny, but you can't expect deep layers, which is fine if you're just looking to have fun.
Entertaining enough for me, but I dislike the second Ninja's type of character. I hope she'll be delegated to a BG character once they're done with her trope-y jokes.
Thoughts:
- The narrator sounded like the god from 100 girlfriends; turns out they share the same voice actor
- Shizuri's appearance reminded me of Bocchi
- Since Shizuri is working as a kunoichi to protect Tsukasa, that means she isn't a NEET
I'm finding it entertaining enough for now. There's a good chance that I will drop it once I get bored of it.
I only got through the first (12m) episode, because the pacing felt really off. Everything went by really quick and it seemed like they never took the time to slow down and establish the characters beyond their cardboard cutout archetypes. If the jokes land for people, I can see it being a decent time, but it wasn't working for me, so I give the premiere a 1/5.
