Didn’t he have a chance to pardon them already?
He did, but back then, he thought he would pay a price.
Now, pardoning them is to his benefit, so of course he will.
There's zero benefit for him now. He doesn't need them anymore.
That would imply he gives any kind of a shit about them.
More likely he'll just leave them to suffer, cause it's funny for him.
