Arthur Fleck is institutionalized at Arkham, awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him.
So, I finally saw it after knowing it reviewed so poorly.
If you just give me the first two thirds or so as the first episode of a miniseries, it's not too bad.
But the turn away from Joker just didn't make sense. The complaint seems to be that he just can't be that person that everyone wants him to be. However we never really see that. Then by the end he seems like he wants to be Joker against, but maybe that's just to win Lee back.
